Shedding A Light On The Truth-

Take courage, for the Lord has overcome the world!

John 16: 33, “I have spoken these things to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Above, this is a meme of what you are fearing. These old, corrupt liars and deceivers and those over them that we aren’t supposed to see or know about are just as pathetic in appearance and deeds. They only have the power you give them. They can destroy the flesh, but only if God allows them to do so. They have no power over your soul no matter how many ideas and devises they invent to try and do so, they simply can not nor ever shall be able to do that.

Matthew 10:28

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Know also God has total POWER OVER THEIR SOULS and HE CAN DESTROY THEM ALL. God is merciful and these ones are foolishly denying the power of God and trying to kill, steal and destroy creation and humanity in the flesh for they know not what they do.

That being said, let us look at the day of attonement as revealed in the scriptures…

Yom Kippur, known as “the day of atonement,” is the day Moses achieved complete forgiveness for the People of Israel after the Sin of the Golden Calf.

In the video below, Pastor Melissa Scott takes you through the day of Attonement  in scripture. “Christ in the Atonement: More Than a Covering- Tabernacle: Christ Revealed in the Old Testament”.  You will learn from watching that  Yom Kippur, known in the English as the Day of Atonement was an Old Testament system that provided covering for the people’s sin for their past year.  This system failed because people need more than a covering.  The good news is when we study this set time through the eyes of Christ, we can see that He fulfilled it, and because of His sacrifice we are washed and cleansed from all of our sin, not just simply covered.

Whereas the old testament was a shadow of things to come, Jesus the Christ fulfilled the old covenant as God had promised He would do by sending His only begotten Son as a sacrifice once and for all, setting up His new covenant for all who have faith in Him.

In the video you will learn through the scriptures in their full context about the Atonement and the key parts of repentance. Such as the definition of the word “Repentence’ that  was used  by transcribers, comes from the Latin which means flagellation… to whip. The original word written in Greek was the word  Metanoia  which means a changing of the mind… meta = with, noia = the mind.  In the scriptures it applies to describe how you turn from doing what you are doing to following Him. That is the act of repentance. That is the definition of the word and the by product that happens after that is called metamelomai: to regret, repent.

The Greek word metamelomai means to have deep remorse, with deep feeling. Once you  have made the change of mind metanoia, you begin to feel deeply plagued in your spirit that you failed God that you have been such a bad child… all these things come upon you  and they may not just come once, they may be life long… but once you understand that the old covenant could only be a shadow, giving us some insight… the day of atonement… yom kippur,  in this reference… could only be a covering.

As Pastor Scott points out, “When we read the scriptures in the new testament, in the book of John, we are washed and cleansed by the Word. All the things we can put together, the Word and the Words of Christ that he spoke, and the act that He did on the cross … all of this is cleansing through and through.  Someone can ask, how can an act that was done so long ago still carry on?  Well, read the Greek and see it is continuous. It happened on that day and it shall continue until God says he’s done and gives his last call for humanity.”

We are now being called to come out from her my people.  The old covenant was a covering, a shadow of what was to come with the new covenant which is being washed and cleansed in the blood of Christ who came to die once, for all as the sacrificial lamb of God.

No matter what you think, your past or even your present acts, as long as you are turning to Him, God, and recognizing that we’re all going to fail, we all will fail for we are in the flesh and sinners being saved by grace. We each have our own issues and struggle with our own failings. This is one big reason we are not to judge one another as in holding our sins against us… we are all humans and have to work out our own struggles.  When you think about it… there could not be a time when someone comes to the knowledge of Christ and not say that … this is not a better way, a superior way to be washed and cleansed and not just covered.

If there is a time where you drop your guard and let Satan whisper for you to do something that is not right or accuse you with your past sins… then  your sins can all well up in your mind again… but now, the Holy Spirit comforts you and leads you and the Lord comes to you. There is a big difference between lambs and goat offerings versus the lamb of God and what He was appointed to do. The mission was pointed out in the beginning, and all along the way… and fulfilled through the coming of the Lord in the flesh and  the final  blood sacrifice and atonement for all sin. There is no need for another sacrifice for God sent His son for this purpose. We are washed and cleansed in His blood… no longer in need of another sacrifice. The Lord has fulfilled this part of the covenant with us .  There is no need for any other sacrifice.

Hebrews 10:26-31

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Repentance in Greek is the word Metanoia… which means a changing of the mind and turning it arround. Then comes  the remorse for what you did. But, God cleansed you of your sins and washed them away as it is written that He would when he came. And He did.

The sacrifice of Jesus was made on Yom Kippur…when they cried out to give them Bararbbas …the two goats of sacrifice were Jesus and Barabbas. They sacrificed  Jesus  and let Barabbas  go  free.  We see this now very clear. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb for all.

Whatever anyone today decides to do on their own idea of sacrifices and declarations as to a Messiah and or a Temple… that is their religious ideas.  It always had been for those who rejected the Lord when He came and it was written that they would. That too was fulfilled just as it was written.

Hebrews 13:12-16

12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. 14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Please enjoy this scriptural walk through of the 70 weeks of Daniel which bring us to the birth of Jesus, His ministry and His attonement for all sin as it was prophesied to come.

This is the first time I have heard another person speak of the 70 weeks in the manner that I have seen it as I shared a year or two ago. I may repost that again, as I stated it based on scripture without the other information, but Steve Gregg shows the prophetic scriptures and how this was looked upon by those who looked for the coming of the Messiah and taught by the Apostles and the church, before all the different idiologies and opinions of men.

The Kingdom of God is within us and we are never without our Lord. Amen.

The Lord is still calling for His people to come and return to Him.  The scriptures speak of a day when the Lord shall return. For now… the call is yet to all of the children of God to come out from her my people, lest you shall share in her plagues. It always has been and shall be the call.

Keep on pressing into the Kingdom of God. Press, press, press!
