Be not deceived… this is the big message from the Lord for his disciples in Luke 21:8 KJV: “And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.”

Today we are going through all sorts of mis and dis representations of the Word of God, but this is not new. It began in the garden of Eden, and continued into the days of the first followers of the way of Jesus, up to this very day. Satan has always been out to kill, steal and destroy God’s truth and God’s people.

BE NOT DECEIVED CANNOT BE SAID ENOUGH TIMES!

In Matthew Chapter 24, the disciples had been in Jerusalem showing Jesus all the magnificent stones of the Temple and their massive size. Jesus said to them about all that, “See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

When they left Jerusalem, (after Jesus teaching of many things that would come to pass, including the destruction of the Temple) his disciples came to Him privately and asked him when the things He spoke of would come to pass and what would be the sign of His coming and the end of the world. The first thing Jesus said was… “Take heed that no man deceive you!”

Matthew 24:4-8, And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

That being said, we are in a world of deception where the one way of worship that is under attack is that of those who follow the way of the Lord – Christianity. All the others are okay.

It seems the bone of contention that upsets the ruler of this world and those who seek a global order is that of the people with faith in Jesus Christ, God Almighty, and The Holy Spirit. Scholars and Theologians are busy at work today to make themselves experts in ancient history and dismantle the Words in the Scriptures. This is not new. From the onset there have been many who tried to include Jesus among the pagan gods as just another one of those. When they couldn’t kill them all they merged them all into one religion in order to control the interpretation of the Word and who could teach it and so only the orthodox could preach it and that was done in Latin.

No one was allowed to read the scriptures on their own for they were not a theologian. During the reformation period the new translations emerged by brave men and women who were tortured and killed for doing so. Which bring us to the translations of men who at the time of King James did a real poetic Shakespeare number on the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic words. There are very few pastors like Pastor Melissa Scott, Ph.D., who have stepped out to teach the truth of the messy translation of the words and false interpretations.

That being said, one of the biggest misdirected words used is the Biblical term “Time, Times and half a Time.

This is said to mean a year, two years and a half a year by the scholars. Yet, by the Hebrew Rabbi’s and prophets it does not mean that at all. The term was translated to mean “Time” as a year, improperly. The Aramaic word used was “iddan” which means a period or time. Another Aramaic word used in these places is “zeman,” which means season or time.

The Hebrew word for this is mo’ed.

image 90

This word means “SEASONS”, from this word we get “Moedim” which means appointed time, sacred season, set feast, appointed season. It does not mean the four seasons of the earth, it is for God’s Holy appointed times and seasons.

image 91

Idan is an Aramaic word that means “moment of time”.

It is used in other places as in Dan. 4:32. “You will be given grass to eat like cattle, and seven periods of time will pass over you until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind.”

Original word means “Time”. Whether it is in Aramaic or Hebrew, this word is not relative to a 365-day year. In Hebrew it is “moed”: appointed time, place, or meeting. The Original Word Definition: appointed time, place or meeting.

Moed: The Creator’s APPOINTED TIMES

Leviticus 23:37, “These are the appointed times [mo’ed] of YHWH which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to YHWH– burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each day’s matter on its own day.

Habakkuk questioned God as to why he allowed Babylon to overtake their Temple….

Habakkuk 2:2-3, “Then YHWH answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it. For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end, and will not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and not delay.”

YHWH promised to avenge the Hebrew people at an appointed time. But it wouldn’t be immediate. It still would leave the people without a Temple, and without a Temple there were no true feasts. Their great joyous celebrations could only be remembered in grief. But YHWH promised to save His people:

Time, times and half a time does not mean a literal 3 and a half years. That is a mis interpretation.

Moed in Hebrew also represented the times for the feasts of the Lord. It is a specific length of time. A divinely appointed time. Not a random time range nor is it a floating 7 years that Darby eludes to in his interpretations.

In Leviticus 23 we find the most comprehensive record of how the Israelites were commanded by God to observe seven feasts over a period of seven months.  The Hebrew for feasts, moadim is strictly translated as appointed times Four feasts were in the spring and the final three were observed in autumn.  The feasts have multiple layers of meaning and application.  They were related to the agricultural cycle and historical events meant to remind the Hebrews of what the LORD has done for them.  As important as these recognitions were, they are nothing compared to what the feasts are ultimately about which was the coming of our Lord to fulfill the New Covenant that God had made with man.

Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.  These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ       (Col 2:16-17 [ESV]).

In Leviticus God said that the feasts were appointed of the LORD and that they were His (Lev. 23:2).  Their true nature was never limited to what the Israelites had gone through or needed from God, rather they were about the glorious things God would accomplish as the Son.  Truly, the substance belongs to Christ. Matthew 26:17-18, 26-28

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ ” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover…

…While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Jesus claimed that his death would be an appointed time and it was. He died on Passover. He was the passover Lamb of God. The perfect sacrifice for all sin. He would be buried on the day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. He rose again on the Feast of First Fruits. Just as He said, it would be his blood that would fulfill the covenant promise that God made with his people:

Luke 22:7-13,7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. 9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

Jeremiah 31:31-34

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. 35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name.”

God uses his divine appointed times to do miraculous things and to meet with us… to connect vividly with His creation. For more information on seasons and appointed times and how they are not 365 day years, Read: Moed: The Creator’s APPOINTED TIMES – Hebrew Word Lessons

The word Moed is used before the creation…In Genesis 1:14, “Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons (Mo’edim) and for days and years.”

Pastor Melissa Scott reveals what and when the deception began… this is a must watch and listen. 2 Thessalonians… the falling away.
