The movie Gone With The Wind is a reminder of the terrible tragedy of a nation divided against itself in political and industry power struggles. It shows the heart wrenching truth of families divided against themselves, brother against brother, father against son in their political divides and beliefs in what each felt was the right thing to stand up and fight for. It shows the grit of determination from Americans on both sides of the line drawn in the sand. It is a reminder of industrial greed and human sacrifice for a cause….both sides American, and both sides believing God was on their side.
It was never meant, nor reflected to be a racist push against any with color. It is a classic movie and one that tells a powerful story of human tragedy. And for those out there that do not like it….”FRANKLY MY DEAR , I DON’T GIVE A DAMN!

lol… forgot about Mr. Bluebird. After reading this article, I searched for Song of the South and ordered it immediately before it isn’t even available on dvd. 🙂 At least my children and grandchildren will get to see it. Guess I better get a dvd copy of Gone With The Wind.

Ridiculous !!! Another movie that was ‘scrubbed’, never to see the light of day again is “Song of The South”. A favorite of mine as a child and I never, ever viewed it as racist but the pc police sure did.
