I collect drums and have many timbrels, some are rather large, and I often think of how the Israelites would dance and beat their timbrels and what that beat sounded like? What was the melody like? With trumpets, timbrels, strings and voice? The music? What would it be like to have experienced that sound of praise today? Watching the youth ministries, I catch a glimpse of what that praise was like. It has been missing for a very long time. I believe the Lord is restoring true praise through our youth and I believe if we support our youth with the truth of the Word of the Lord… mentoring them as Karen Wheaton has done… that is a noble mission of ministry the Lord is calling those well-seasoned in the word to do…. MENTOR OUR YOUTH IN THE TRUTH AND THE WAY OF THE LORD.

Ha! I can’t seem to win without losing!!! Or am I really just winning???
I pray you will always focus on the messages of others and if you deem it controversial in your mind, you will do your own research, connect the dots for yourself, and draw your own conclusions.
In my opinion, critical thinking by individuals is essential to the restoration of our nation.
It is also very helpful in our journey of faith in accepting that every word in the Holy Bible is true.
Don’t accept any message at face value. Do the work and figure it out for yourself. That way when you discover the TRUTH, you will accept it and believe it. You also greatly minimize the chances of being deceived by the “conclusions” of others which could just be false propaganda.
As I periodically commented to my law colleagues over the decades of my law practice, “there’s a method to my madness.”
I have drawn my personal conclusion: every word in the Holy Bible is true.

So far Lin Wood has not said what this is all about. He indicated that he was criticized for his choice in music. Looks to me like he got hit by the music police like I did. LOL. So, I had to respond.
A few days ago, I ran across the same video by accident. I was curious to watch it for I have been pounded in the past by some for posting music by these artists and was harshly scolded for being this and that, mostly harshly told I was bad for doing it. So, I watched the entire video out of curiosity, and it was difficult to stomach. Especially in the parts they so deceptively interrupted on their own slanted views. In it I saw how they were misguided, to say it in the most positive light possible. But, at points they were downright devilish in their accusations. Especially in their own 501c3 self-righteous mindsets. It was obvious they were threatened by far more than music. They love their 501c3. I’ve seen these men speak before. There seems to be a movement against the kids singing worship songs to Jesus Christ and God. I think if I’m able to read and figure out the message being delivered in the Bible I can figure out the messages being spoken in a song and so can the young adults. If these men continue to be this strict they will turn all the kids away from the church. For how long have we seen children at the age of 16 and 17 leaving the church? I believe it’s because the pastors and priests are too strict and now they are making it about the music. Let the kids find their own way and stop treating them like they are incapable of following their on path. I love all Christian music and I don’t go looking for a boogey man when I’m listening to it.

I agree Bonnie. With the logic used, do we throw out the Bible because they are teaching out of the same book? There is discernment and there is stupidity that leads to a reprobate mind. Many have gone too far blaming innocent for sins of others. The truth is, they are losing their 501c3 dollars!

In some songs the words ‘you’ and ‘lord’ are vague and can refer to satan. I read this in an article about contemporary Christian music.
And then there are blatant words like lightning, flame, darkness , it goes on and on. Am I going to be judged as a heretic because a certain song ministers to me? Idk. Unless I find out it’s not what think, I’ll like it. Stone me. That’s something else I wondered about,
stoning, I wonder just how often it was done. They didn’t use one person as an executioner, people had to actually administer the death penalty. It would seem like an extremely difficult thing to do.

The guys in the video, not Bethel. I’m not saying Bethel doesn’t have problems, but Calvinism is the worst of all of the Protestant break offs from the Catholic Church. [Luther wanted to ‘reform’ them, not leave. They kicked him out.] Justifying murdering believers b/c they don’t agree w/ your heretical doctrine is as anti-Christ as you can get. Talk about The Snake. John Calvin was one of the biggest ones.

Exactly! And other books … 1 Corinthians, Romans, … the list goes on where scripture speaks of and demonstrates the power of the Holy Spirit and believers operating in spiritual gifts. I like Lin, but to share this and unnecessarily bash Bethel when many of Lins followers are probably charismatic Christian’s… not wise at all. I’m praying God opens his eyes to this legalism. Why is the reformed branch of Christianity so obsessed with accusing the brethren? Tempted to post some Bethel lyrics right now. “Goodness of God” comes to mind… How dare people sing and proclaim His goodness right?! That can’t possibly be scriptural!!! 🙄

I love bethel, elevation and hillsong! They are NOT pushing a false doctrine. Either these words are misinterpreted or the church leaders have a misinterpretation of the Word. They have no agenda to mislead.
In the video below, as far as Justin Peters goes, he loves to be a thorn in all of it, as I have discovered over the course of some time. He seems to lump all of it together sooner or later.
So they deny the power of the Holy Spirit. No wonder they hate the good spirit filled music.
Well, let them raise their 501c3 high and praise their God for all their tax incentives for all their congregation and all their write offs. Cha Ching, Cha Ching. Now they gave their opinion, this is simply mine. So, they want to stay in a box and point out all other religions as bad and they are good judging what is taught? There you go… another 501c3 – false shepherds of business. Not a church of the Lord. The very words they spoke so eagerly…were not the words of the Lord. Not at all. They turned the words of a few songs into scathing love imaginations and said, we are not to address our Lord God in this manner ever. It is sinful. Well, I have to ask them, have they even read Psalms? Or the Song of Solomon?

HOW DARE DAVID DO SUCH A THING, AND HOW DARE GOD BLESS DAVID FOR PERFORMING SUCH BEFORE THE ARC!
So who’s next for attacks? Will it be Karen Wheaton and her youth ministry – THE RAMP?
Remember this youth ministry was started to help the kids who were dying on the street using drugs, youth who didn’t fit in and the church had left to struggle in the streets for they were not reached out to. They were labeled as bad, druggies, lost, no good! Mega churches were not interested in these kids as they sure were down by the river living in a van in their lives. It took a true passionate woman of God, Karen Wheaton to see their pain, to see God’s tears weeping for these youth and she stepped up and showed them the way. So let their voices sing out in praise and worship – something that is lacking in those who dare condemn the youth’s music ministry. Instead, many listen to vain lies and opinions of those who push and bite at the youth for sins of others inside MEGA CHURCHES! God is watching all of these things.
WHO CARES WHAT THE MEGA 501C3 PASTORS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT SONG AND WORSHIP? THEY CERTAINLY KNOW NOT HOW TO DO IT. OH, BUT THEY CAN PRAISE THEMSELVES!
The real problem is they failed THE YOUTH! AND FROM THE LOOKS OF THE BILLION HITS ON THE MUSIC – there is a hunger for a praise and worship music ministry!
My last thoughts on this subject after looking into this further are the same as my first thoughts. And that is, “You have got to be kidding me.” So, I guess by their standards, a music ministry is not allowed? I want to know what their church covenants are. So far I see they love their 501c3 status for their church BUSINESS and COVET that of their neighbors. And I don’t really see any real concern for souls in their presentations…only for ideas of stealing their congregations? Shut them down for the sins of others. Good grief.
I listen to the music and so far… I have never felt the need to go and find their pastors and follow their dogma? Or cult practices? Whatever their accusers are calling it. Are there some among them who are teaching bad practices? I am sure there are. But we are speaking of music here. If we are to get into doctrine… we can attack all the churches all day long. The point is the music ministry is uplifting and touching people, all over the world to praise and worship the Lord. And isn’t that what a MUSIC MINISTRY is all about?
THE WEAKEST ARGUMENT WAS …
The weakest argument Justin Peters made was it’s okay to have a song that a bad theology person wrote if they are now dead for over a hundred years or so. So, with that logic, we can sing the songs of Baal worship because those authors have been dead for hundreds of years? I guess that explains the acceptance of the Easter Bunny and Christ Mass.
So, this is what we are up against. A devil hating that the youth are awake and praising God with pure song, and dance from their hearts! Of course he hates this and is out to devour all of it… especially since it is driving people away from the false deceptions of fear into a new world of faith, joy, love, and boldness! Many youths are coming to the Lord and sharing the truth as it was shared in the days of the first followers of the way. Amen and praise God as he does a new thing, a marvelous thing!!

I watched only a minute or two into that video and hoped to God people are not taking these guys seriously. Looking at their expressions on their faces clearly shows they need to get Spirit filled and get the joy of the Lord in their lives and lift their hands up and worship to these amazing songs! LoL
Lisa, people listen to these liars. Last spring, and even this past fall, I kept getting hit by people shouting I was bad for posting these songs. (They said if I posted them, I didn’t have God, and other things…) I did an entire post listing all the songs they said were bad and had a music fest….because they were good songs and it was annoying to keep getting told how bad I was for listening to the music and posting it. I wondered where they were getting their information… Now, I did see where the pastor of Hillsong was charged with some bad crimes…but the pastor is not the one singing the songs I told them. I had thought that some were just judging and condemning on their own. I had no idea mega churches were behind the push. New World order of churches don’t like the spirit led youth so I think we need to support their music even more! Why? Because it reaches the same youth the demonic forces so fight to destroy. It has brought the youth to the Lord where many of the mega churches have tossed them aside. Anyone who can’t tithe is little value to many. I have seen this, watched this…and it’s sickening. (I have over the years acquired many of my own first handed stories and stood up for many to deaf ears.) I say halleluiah the days are here where the youth are standing up for the Lord and truth. They are hungry for the meat of the word where the mega church members are largely into itchy ear milk and prosperity preaching.
I praise those who are helping the youth to know the true words of God. Amen.
So now it appears Lin was hit for posting these sort of songs. LOL. I await to see what he has decided. I know what the Lord has shown me. I waver not, nor follow the stars…and Lin…I love ya man, but, won’t follow you if you are going down that road. That one he will travel without me. I think for myself as we all should. Now and every day. Each pray for discernment. God’s placed all things for this hour of testing. Welcome to the “Remnant” shall stand part of the show. We are well into it. God is shaking all things.
My heart sunk when Lin posted that video. I didn’t want him going down that road either!
I learned last week what the phrase, “Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water,” means. This is exactly what people are doing who are against worship music from particular places. Many of these songs brought my two teenage girls into a place of love for Jesus because music helped them express their adoration for their Lord and Savior. Some of these songs also helped them through some heartache during tender times. Also for me, you cannot help but feel the presence of God while worshiping with these songs. It is undeniable. I also love the songs declaring victory when I need to remind myself to stop a pity party I might be giving myself. Lol!
I support the music ministries of our youth. They have brought people to the Lord of all ages and are a comfort to all in these times of peril. The Lord said destruction comes to those that touch what belong to him. These youth ministries of praise are glory to the Lord and watch what happens to those who touch what is His!
