If Trump Talked Like Carson, I Would Not Be Supporting Him.

Little by little and at times in long broad strokes, Carson reveals his true views and ideals.  When these are met with public disapproval, he quickly retreats and rewords his concepts or simply states that he was misunderstood, then he proceeds to gently place the blame on the incompetent listener.

The night of August 6th, I had a group of family and friends over to watch the debates together on TV. Everyone but me was undecided. My vote was solid for Trump. Someone said, I like how Carson talks. I said, he speaks well but there is something about him. Not sure what? He presented himself well but seemed a little too meek to lead America out of the mess.

I shared why I supported Trump and how he believed the same as I on the issues and the fact he could not be bought.  Trump speaks out openly and honestly. Well, it seemed my words fell on deaf ears, especially after Kelly spewed out her “gotcha” questions .

At the time, I didn’t know much about Carson other than he was a well known surgeon. It wasn’t long and an entire list of what my gut feeling was telling me was being revealed through current and past news clips, interviews and books written by Carson himself.

As I watched with my own eyes it became clear that the soft spoken man whose hero was Al Sharpton was also on a mission to do more of the same, only in sheep’s clothing.

I do not trust any candidate who uses God as a means to get elected. I do not trust those that piously, publically condemn others for not being as sincere as they want you to believe they are; especially when that candidate has a past of lying and blaming others for their past mistakes, while basking in the glory of their successes.

I also get nervous when the same candidate softly suggests ideas that are dangerous and lend more to the establishment than to the will of the people. Ideas like Carson’s – “People should voluntarily opt out of receiving their social security”.

Will someone please tell Carson Social Security isn’t a government assistance program, it was a retirement program that was mandated that every citizen pay into. Now he believes only those who really need it should accept it. What’s next 401 K’s that he may deem a person doesn’t really need? Savings accounts? This is a very dangerous presidence and one Americans should really take a strong look at. To me this is a sly way of showing another form of redistribution of wealth.

It seems Carson would also have people opt out of many of their constitutional rights too, like the second amendment and who can and cannot possess a firearm. He has said that if you live in the city…no.  If you live in a rural area…yes.  This guy has some dangerously bad ideas for Americans that do not reflect the Bill of Rights.

He recently was a guest of John Dickerson on CBS’s “Face the Nation” where he spoke on his illegal immigration policy.

“Those who are here, you know, we have to recognize that we can’t just round them up, but we can give them an opportunity to register. I would give them a six-month period, and if they register and they have a pristine record, they haven’t been causing problems, I would give them an opportunity to become guest workers, not citizens, not voting people, not people who get goodies”, said Carson.

Goodies? Did he say goodies?  Pristine record?  This from the man that speaks of how his own past record of anger issues and terror toward others were building blocks? A bit of Bigotry here? What I want him to clarify is the “if” in his statement.  “If” they register and “if” they have a pristine record?  Does he really believe those with criminal backgrounds are going to be among the “ifs” to actually register?

At the same interview John Dickerson queried, “I want to ask you for a moment about immigration, which, as you have said, that Donald Trump’s plan for deporting those undocumented workers here is unrealistic, is it unrealistic because it’s unfeasible, or is it — do you have a moral problem with that notion of trying to deport all the undocumented workers who are here?”

Carson replied, “No, I believe the logistics are difficult. As I said, I’m all ears. If somebody can tell me exactly how you can do that, I would certainly be interested in hearing it, but the fact of the matter is, our problem is that our federal government is not supporting the local authorities at the border.”

Does he really believe that the logistics behind having illegal aliens register for a guest worker program within 6 months is actually an answer to the problems stemming from all the illegal immigration? This totally fails the logic test of feasibility.  After all, criminals, drug cartel and gangs are among those “ifs” that will be allowed the six month time frame to register for a guest worker program.  Believe me, I am all ears to hear his steps on doing that one.  He may as well be asking for all illegal immigrants who have or are committing  crimes to do the right thing and self deport.

Is anyone listening to Carson at all? Is anyone asking him hard questions on his reasoning? Is anyone understanding his logic? After all, this is the same man that not to long ago, likened the Islamic State to American patriots.
