Former Rep. Madison Cawthorn Has A Big Surprise For Cape Coral!

Life after Ian is looking up in Cape Coral and exciting things are taking place as the new City Council brings fresh ideas to the forum and clean up is in progress.

But, every once in a while there comes along something fantastic, or we are told it will be so fantastic, and they say just enough to make people want to know what it is RIGHT NOW! And you lend your undivided attention only to hear them say, ‘we have to “shuss”, keep it a secret a little while longer’. At least that is what City Councilwoman Patty Cummings of District 4 in Cape Coral said in a live video with Cape Coral’s new resident and former Congressman, Madison Cawthorn, originally from North Carolina. He is working on something very exciting that will make a lot of people happy in Cape Coral and Councilwoman Patty Cummings is trying hard not to let it slip what it is that Cawthorn is doing, but the teaser that something great is coming has residents wanting to know what it is right now!

Listen to the live interview and hear what Madison Cawthorn has to say! He touches on a lot of different areas, including Ian, his life now in Cape Coral, Congress and his future ideas.

Cawthorn, recently moved to Cape Coral just four days before Hurricane Ian ripped through Southwest Florida. He survived the initiation phase or the “welcome to Florida Madison and by the way, did you know we have hurricanes here? Smile”.

Well the hurricane didn’t scare Cawthorn off and in fact he was very impressed with the way the community pulled together helping everyone and making sure people had what they needed during the crisis. Cawthorn also got out and helped by donating gas from his just filled 100 gallon boat tank to those without and using his truck and chain to help move debri. He rolled up his sleeves and went right to work as though he had lived there all his life putting the community first and foremost!

He has spent a lot of time seeking how to invest in his new community in Lee County, the city he now calls home in Cape Coral, Florida. He has been working on several ideas for projects and is now working the details out on one project for the city of Cape Coral that Councilwoman Patty Cummings says is a need and a want and will make Madison Cawthorn a hero in the city.

Councilwoman Cummings said with a big dose of enthusiasm, “I’m so excited about the new project and want to tell them so bad but I can’t ….” Cawthorn quickly interjected smiling, “You can’t Patty! You got to keep it a secret for now!”

And darn it…they both didn’t say a word of what it was, only that it was both a need and a want and Patty hinted that this project of Cawthorns would make him a hero in Cape Coral.

Now, we are used to solving puzzles here but what could it possibly be? The clues are that it is both a need and a want… and so fantastic… Cawthorn will be a Cape Coral hero…. So what can that be?

Smiling, Madison Cawthorn said, “It’ll be a net positive for Cape Coral. As soon as we get everything figured out, we’ll be able to make it public. But, we don’t want to give all the secrets away just yet.”

I guess we would have to ask the residents what that could possibly be? Patty also said that Cawthorn being entrepreneurial will be able to make this a “wow” factor. But, she said the rest was a secret and as soon as they get the details finalized, the project would be announced.

Now being a hero is a big claim… and filling a need and a want are the only clues given so far that have people clammoring what it could be.

What do you think it could be?

Meanwhile Rep. Cawthorn and Councilwoman Cummings watched the Speaker vote while introducing the secret project as Madison explained some of what was taking place behind the scenes.

He was glad to see Congress take action to restore much of the original infrastructure of Congress that has long been diminished. He said he would have loved to be in the mix of the action at such an historic moment. He rooted for his fellow republicans and was very glad to see all the concessions that were being made.

When Councilwoman Cummings asked him what he would like to see changed, he answered that he wanted to see term limits. Well, he got his wish for that was one of the concessions McCarthy agreed to bring up for discussion and a vote.

Rep. Cawthorn was an outspoken man in congress and stood his ground for what he believed in and so, as we checked out his congress days, I found the video below. He would have fit right in with the Speaker Action we witnessed the last week. I wonder what he would have said and done?

During a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday (March 2) to address Russia’s recent military invasion of Ukraine, Rep. Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina quoted lyrics from Toby Keith‘s song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).”

“Mr. Speaker, when the United States military shows up, kings and kingdoms fall to their knees,” Cawthorn said. “As the great philosopher Toby Keith once said, ‘We put a boot in their a–, it’s the American way.’ Our military pre-eminence is unmatched. Our brand is dominance, but our greatness lies in temperance.” He later added, “Congress declares war, not Joe Biden, not some woke general. Congress. The people must debate, decide, and then if absolutely necessary, declare war. … The sons and daughters of America are too precious to waste on the altar of globalism.”

Rep. Cawthorn also stood up for President Trump against Pelosi’s push for impeachment.

Rep. Cawthorn has a lot of goals to help save America and support patriots on all levels be it state, local or national. He and Councilwoman Cummings are both big into networking and doing what they can do to help others in the community. They found they both had a common friend in Byron Donalds, the name made famous in the Speaker no votes.

Cawthorn and Cummings laughed as they agreed, “No one knew the name “Donalds” until this week … now the whole world knows it!” Patty laughed as they nodded in agreement.

Councilwoman Cummings is a newly elected to the Cape Coral City Council but as and enterpreneur, she has lots of ideas to get the city moving and help small businesses get up and running again, as well as helping the citizens to get the things they need to recover faster. She pointed out that there are still people living in tents whose homes were destroyed during Ian. Crawthorn was amazed at the good attitudes of the people in the community even after they suffered great losses during Ian. They both share the goal of helping to get things up and running smoothly after Ian and believe safety for the kids is number one.

Stay tuned and find out what the fantastic new thing coming to Cape Coral is! They are working fast to bring you the news! Meanwhile…. what do you think Cawthorn is bringing?
