Vice Chair of the Democrat National Committee (DNC), Tulsi Gabbard, (Hawaii) blasted Obama’s military strategy to topple Assad in Syria. Gabbard took the stance of Putin that the world is not better without Hussein and Gaddafi. In fact the loss of leadership has created more chaos and emboldened Islamist extremist activity.
As a Democratic Congresswoman and military veteran Tulsi Gabbard has a hands on perspective on the war in the middle east and is not a fan of toppling nations in order to end terrorism. In her military career she was among those who were sent to Kuwait to train Kuwaiti’s to fight and received an award from their commander.
Gabbard is an advocate of stopping the Obama administration’s illegal push to topple Syria which is a sovereign nation. She is against providing weapons to Islamist extremists and believes the entire US failed foreign policy needs to be changed . Gabbard states that the current approach aids the enemy and makes them stronger, “essentally working hand-in-hand” with the Muslim extremists on the ground who are working to overthrow Assad in Syria, so that they “can take over and establish their Islamic caliphate.”
