Wars and Rumors of Wars, Part 2

In Part one we learned the seldom stated fact that the age of discovery was a free pass to conquer any non- Christian lands by any means necessary to take them over.  This was achieved through the old trick of divide and conquer and speaking with deceit and lies. None of which were anything close to the Lord’s instruction to go into the world and spread the good news that he has risen. 

We laid the basic ground work with references on the Doctrine of Discovery which was from the Papal Bull of “Dum Diversa” which allowed such invasions. Of which none of it is based on Holy Scripture, just man-made dogma. Quite clearly lacking God’s instruction from any scripture. It simply isn’t in any of it. It actually reads like it was dictated by Satan himself. And of course carried out by those who appear to lack conscience and are led by demonic spirits for worldly goals. Raising a flag and doing it for your country doesn’t make it right, nor does raising a banner and claiming the evil deed is done for God.

We spoke of Manasseh and Manasseh’s name literally means “making forgetful”; Joseph said he chose that name “because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household” (Genesis 41:51). Joseph had a new life in Egypt and a new family. His sons Ephraim and Manasseh were given the birthright of Israel by their grandfather Jacob.  Ephraim his brother was to have many nations, and Manasseh a great nation.

That being said… we are looking at the great nation of the United States and the course of those who entered in to steer her with their own ideas and worldly compass and how Ephraim (Great Britain) just never really let Manasseh be fruitful without taking its bounty.  Now we add a twist that both nations have been infiltrated and the realization they were always under the same destructive forces as all of God’s people and the same struggle to survive in a world ruled by Satan. For in all the things the devil does to kill, steal and destroy, his start is always to divide and conquer. That’s what he did in heaven, when he sought to take God’s throne, and that’s what he did in the garden to deceive Eve when Adam was not around, and he continues to this very day.

There are always those who start out good and end up bad, and start out bad and end up good.  Few there be that stay the course of good on good. But those who do so, seem to be the glue that God does smile upon and for their sake, He keeps the whole thing together.

Today, we are coming out from Babylon the Great which has grown into a worldwide system.  We are in the world but not of the world and we can look at the last 300 years of sins that seems to be a repeat of the previous 300 and the previous 300 years before that and so on and so on, all fitting the bill of the description told in Revelation chapter 18. Those great merchants of the earth who by their sorcery were all the nations deceived.  Nevertheless, we have what is needed spiritually to come out of her my people and take strong steps to stand in the wicked day. 

Which every generation appears to have its share of tribulation and the measuring stick of great tribulation appears to be whether it is happening to you or to someone else.  For when it is you, it is great tribulation. i.e.: if it is your body getting ripped from limb to limb… it is great tribulation… that is a fact. If it is your home, city or nation that has been bombed into oblivion… that is great tribulation. If you are forced to watch your children tortured and killed before you in broad daylight, that is great tribulation. That is just a fact.

The biggest trouble in a Lukewarm generation is to be blind to the signs of enslavement and ignoring the segments of humanity that the Oligarch machine are enslaving, starving, and destroying as though that isn’t taking place. This happens when we are programmed to think, feel and do what the system tells us to do and these systems include religious and social systems as well as government and Judicial.

We absorb Babylon’s influence through the communication of the beliefs, values, and practices of the culture into which we are born. These characteristics are instilled in us with virtually no resistance. They are, in fact, all we know until long after the foundational mind control damage has already been done during childhood and adolescence. It’s all an artful programming that is designed to use our own free will against ourselves. It has been since the beginning. But, once you see how it is done, you can’t unsee it. Blessed are those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

In the “Communication and Leaving Babylon” series (Part Two), by John Ritenbaugh, he illustrates a clear example of how this absorption of Babylon occurs without our knowing, using the language we learn to speak as children. It is native to the environment into which we are born, in this case, our home, and it becomes part of us through the verbal communication of our parents, older siblings, extended family, and community. Our native language is a quality we never question. It is simply there, and we grow up speaking it.

He states that. “As youngsters, we do not critically evaluate and then decide what language we choose to speak. Thus, the family’s language, which in most cases is also the language of the surrounding community and culture, becomes a fundamental part of what we are. Similarly, other characteristics of this culture—basic attitudes, perspectives, and conduct—also become part of what we are. So strong are these absorbed traits that we find, following God’s calling of us, that some—perhaps even many—are contrary to God’s purpose. However, we discover to our dismay that, so engrained are they in our character, they hold us in bondage, and we find it very difficult to break free from those that could be damaging to our relationship with God. Many of our efforts to grow and overcome are directed against these.”

Yet, we all know when abuse occurs for we feel it as unjust. We may not understand it as a child, but we learn to fear it and maneuver around it or succumb to it.  Ritenbaugh takes this further and explains how we are all influenced by Satan’s world whether we want to or not, or even know it or not.

Excerpts: “A major facet of this is that the source of the overwhelming number of the beliefs, values, and practices we absorb from our native cultures is Satan. He, the Bible confirms, has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9). He has had a virtually free hand, as god of this world (II Corinthians 4:4), to communicate these enslaving traits to all of mankind.

“A high percentage of the influence from Satan’s world comes to us through our five senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. We live through all of life’s experiences with these communication receptors constantly involved and leaving impressions upon our hearts—or we might say, upon our minds and memories, and therefore upon our attitudes and character.

“Additionally, both casual and formal instruction takes place in the home, schools—all the way up to and including universities—and certainly, in church or its lack. Even atheism and agnosticism are to some degree schooling and impressing upon our attitudes, character, and conduct.

“We realize that some form of communication also occurs between us and living things such as plants, which thrive when the person tending them loves them, and inanimate objects such as water, whose crystals mysteriously distort in the presence of negative attitudes.

Then there is direct Communication From Spirits

As Ritenbaugh wrote, the Bible confirms that communication can take place between us and spirit beings, whether from God our Father and Jesus Christ, or Satan and his horde of demon spirits imprisoned beneath the canopy of air that covers earth and in which we live and breathe. We share the same earthly space. There are many scriptures that describe this. Ephesians tells us to put on the whole armor of God to stand against the attacks of the principalities and powers of darkness.

Most of us have been taught to avoid evil places and you won’t get into trouble with temptation. That simply is not true for Satan and evil spirits love going to church. One of the most dangerous methods of communication from spirit beings to us is that it can be made, performed, or transferred directly into our minds, influencing us without our even being aware of it.

We are dealing with invisible dark spirits that we cannot see, hear, taste, smell, or feel when they enter into our space to tempt us. For example, when Jesus said he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised on the third day, Peter took him aside and told him this shall not happen to you. And The Lord told Peter, “Get behind me Satan. You are an offense to me for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:21-23. Peter not only spoke without understanding with his fleshly ideas that were against God and God’s will, he dared to tell his Master what he was going to do, like he was in charge. Jesus rebuked the devil who had entered into Peter and said, “Get behind me Satan”. He knew where Peters words came from and didn’t blink to rebuke the devil to Peter’s own face.

We must learn to test the spirits and take what we don’t understand to the Holy Spirit and ask what does this mean? We can talk to the Lord who dwells in us and ask Him directly what things mean, what to do, and ask for truth and guidance on all matters no matter how big or how small. Peter had not yet had the power of the Holy Spirit at that time, so he was yet susceptible to being a useful pawn for the devil without even knowing it.

Ritenbaugh uses the example of  John 6:63, Jesus says, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” Here is a clear example of the figurative use of “spirit.” Words are the symbols used for communication; they are received into our minds through sight, as when reading, or sound, as when hearing. But once in the mind, nothing material is packed into our brain. Words—and thus the concepts they carry with them—are spirit because they are immaterial, invisible, and of considerable power, depending on how we use them.

“Matthew 10:16-20 provides us with another example:

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

“God is not going to announce, “This is God speaking through so and so.” Rather, it will appear to those listening, as well as the person speaking, that everything being generated is from the persecuted disciple. That being said, the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 2:2, “. . . in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.”

Paul is speaking of how the demonic realm works and being in the world subject to the attitudes and conduct of the general population of what they grew up with knowing. Their cultural systems as we mentioned previously. As we are born into a language and culture.  Paul is in Ephesus where they had worshipped pagan gods and goddesses and many still adhered to these. That by its own example, was “once walking in the course of this world”.

Paul’s usage of this word, “course” is the whole mass of elements that encompass the conduct and attitudes of the times, the zeitgeist.  Remember, in a past article we learned that “Zeit” means “time,” and “Geist” means “spirit” or “ghost.” Zeitgeist refers to the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era. It represents the prevailing spirit or character of a particular period of time (Aeon/age) in history.

It would not be the same all over the world because its expression in people would differ depending upon their own culture, language, religion, laws and influences. However, in Paul’s writings, its elements will invariably be carnal and evil because the spiritual source, Satan, is always evil.

Therefore, depending on a person’s culture, and the culture in the nation they are in, we see differences in perception on right and wrong, and what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. What they believe they must do depends on their own beliefs and cultural norms.

Which bring us to a nation under attack from within is divided and the danger of multiple mindsets and beliefs. Can two walk together unless they agree?

2 Corinthians 3:14-18

14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them, And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

17 Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

Which bring us to the United States of America.

As President Trump says, we are a nation in decline.

It is here where we shall let it be known that the religious freedoms of which the United States of America were founded upon are those of the God of the Holy Bible and the freedoms were based on Biblical principles and liberties. The wording within the documents show that for itself. The list of offenses are written in the Declaration of Independence. The ideology was to enable a people to live their lives without a heavy yoke of enslavement by a Royal Crown or anybody of government.  But this does not mean that evil was not present and standing in every dark shadow and corner. For it was then and yet is this very day, not only standing, but towering over the world to see who it can divide and conquer.

It all began with a history of many offenses that became unbearable for the people in the colonies. Yet, their own wrongful actions against the indigenous people, I am sure, brought about much of the offenses they themselves reaped in suffering. That is how it is in the world. You reap what you sow. But as a disclaimer please note that there are always people who do not go along with cruelty to others and there were many at that time who were not of the same mindset as those who were out to do wickedly for gain.

The setting of the day was that in the midst of the abuse toward the people in the colonies, we have a devil dancing and making war and misery among indigenous tribes, the people in the colonies, and Great Britain. No one was happy except the devil himself and those who were satisfied with whatever deals they were making in the midst of all the corruption and tyranny. So is the way of Satan’s world. He divides and infiltrates in order to conquer.

The day came and a declaration was written, signed and the war for independence was officially declared by the 13 states against the tyranny of the King of Great Britain.

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
He has endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

Read: declaration of independence 

We fast forward to the end of the Revolutionary War, and to the negotiations of a treaty that ends the war and grants the 13 States their independence.

The Treaty of Paris of 1783 formally ended the American Revolutionary War. American statesmen Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and John Jay negotiated the peace treaty with representatives of King George III of Great Britain. In the Treaty of Paris, the British Crown formally recognized American independence and ceded most of its territory east of the Mississippi River to the United States, doubling the size of the new nation and paving the way for westward expansion.

But what was the real motivation? The land and the use of the Doctrine of Discovery that allowed the nations to divide and conquer in the name of god to do what the devil wanted done to innocent people who were here first and who also shared their crops, and techniques of farming and sat in pow wows with peace pipes in friendship.  But, alas… the progress of the nation found that no one wanted another Indian war. Especially after the Revolution, they just wanted the land and set out to divide and conquer the various tribal nations in a multitude of ways.  

The Treaty of Paris, signed in Paris by representatives of King George III of Great Britain and representatives of the United States on September 3, 1783, officially ended the American Revolutionary War and recognized the Thirteen Colonies, which had been part of colonial British America, as an independent, sovereign nation.

The treaty set the boundaries between British North America, later called Canada, and the United States, on lines the British labeled as “exceedingly generous”, although exact boundary definitions in the far-northwest and to the south continued to be subject to some controversy. Details included fishing rights and restoration of property and prisoners of war.

This treaty and the separate peace treaties between Great Britain and the nations that supported the American cause, including France, Spain, and the Dutch Republic, are known collectively as the Peace of Paris. Only Article 1 of the treaty, which acknowledges the United States’ existence as free, sovereign, and independent states, remains in force. All of this took place without any consideration for the nation tribes who were here before the first arrival of the colonies and their military forces who desired to claim the land for their own. It was so much like these pesky landowners were simply in the way… so much like the same attitude of those today who desire to depopulate the world of the same sort of humanity that are to them, simply useless eaters, eating up what they desire to possess and count as their own, i.e. – all of their goods, lands, minerals, precious metals, crops, water, cultures, and beliefs. Truly the devil had a strong hold on a core of Oligarchs who had the same mindset as he had.

During these negotiations, France was exhausted by the war, and all parties sought peace, except for the Kingdom of Spain, which insisted on continuing the Revolutionary War until it could capture Gibraltar from the British. Vergennes developed treaty terms under which Spain would forego holding Gibraltar and the United States would be granted independence, but it would be confined to the area east of the Appalachian Mountains. Britain would keep the area north of the Ohio River, which was part of the Province of Quebec. In the area south of that would be an independent Indian barrier state, under Spanish control.

In the final battle, the French General joined with General Washington to advance against the British at Yorktown.

The Congress of the Confederation, operating as the legislative body of the newly established United States, ratified the Treaty of Paris on January 14, 1784, in Annapolis, Maryland, in the Old Senate Chamber of the Maryland State House. Copies were sent back to Europe for ratification by the other parties involved, the first reaching France in March 1784. British ratification occurred on April 9, 1784, and the ratified versions were exchanged in Paris on May 12, 1784.

The treaty and the separate peace treaties between Great Britain and the three colonial powers that supported the American cause, France, Spain, and the Dutch Republic, are known collectively as the Peace of Paris. Only Article 1 of the treaty, which acknowledges the United States’ existence as free  sovereign  and  independent states, remains in force. The U.S. borders changed in later years, which is a major reason specific articles of the treaty were superseded.

Tricks and treats inside the treaty….

The entire package was designed in the same fashion as all Oligarch packages. The concession of the vast trans-Appalachian region was designed to facilitate the growth of the American population and to create lucrative markets for British merchants without any military or administrative costs to Britain. It was the same sly move the John Rockefeller made when monopolies were outlawed and he bought up stocks and owned them that way and the corporation had the headache and expense of running them while he profited without any work effort. The point of the treaty was to continue to develop the United States into a major trading partner and benefit by their hard work and expense. As French Foreign Minister Vergennes later put it, “The English buy peace rather than make it.” Vermont was included within the boundaries because the state of New York insisted that Vermont was a part of New York although Vermont was then under a government that considered Vermont not to be a part of the United States.

Privileges were lost that the Americans had received from Britain automatically when they had colonial status. I’m sure designed to make it difficult for them. One of those was the protection from pirates in the Mediterranean Sea when the First Barbary War and the Second Barbary War had been fought and given. Individual states ignored federal recommendations, under Article 5, to restore confiscated Loyalist property and Article 6, which provided for confiscating Loyalist property for “unpaid debts”. The Colony of Virginia defied Article 4 and maintained laws against payment of debts to British creditors. Several Loyalists attempted to file for a return for their property in the U.S. legal system after the American Revolutionary War, but most were unsuccessful.

The actual geography of North America also turned out to NOT match the details used in the treaty. The treaty specified a southern boundary for the United States, but the separate Anglo-Spanish agreement did not specify a northern boundary for Florida. The Spanish government assumed that the boundary was the same as in the 1763 agreement by which it had first given its territory in Florida to Great Britain. While the West Florida Controversy continued, Spain used its new control of Florida to block American access to the Mississippi, in defiance of Article 8.

To the north, the treaty stated that the boundary of the United States extended from the “most northwesternmost point” of the Lake of the Woods in present-day Minnesota, Manitoba, and Ontario, directly westward until it reached the Mississippi River. However, the Mississippi does not extend that far northward, and the line going west from the Lake of the Woods never intersects the river. The Treaty of Paris also did not explain how the new border would function in terms of controlling the movement of people and trade between British North America and the United States. The American diplomats’ expectation of negotiating a commercial treaty with Great Britain to resolve some of the unfinished business of the Treaty of Paris failed to materialize in 1784. Despite government agreements for British evacuation of northern forts, Britain continued to occupy the forts. Meanwhile, the British were dissatisfied with the American harassment of their loyalists. (Seriously? What did they expect?)

The Treaty of Paris of 1783, signed on September third 1783, and ratified by the U.S. Congress on January 14, 1784, formally ended the American Revolutionary War.

The Definitive Treaty of Peace 1783

In the name of the most holy and undivided Trinity.

It having pleased the Divine Providence to dispose the hearts of the most serene and most potent Prince George the Third, by the grace of God, king of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, defender of the faith, duke of Brunswick and Lunebourg, arch-treasurer and prince elector of the Holy Roman Empire etc., and of the United States of America, to forget all past misunderstandings and differences that have unhappily interrupted the good correspondence and friendship which they mutually wish to restore, and to establish such a beneficial and satisfactory intercourse, between the two countries upon the ground of reciprocal advantages and mutual convenience as may promote and secure to both perpetual peace and harmony; and having for this desirable end already laid the foundation of peace and reconciliation by the Provisional Articles signed at Paris on the 30th of November 1782, by the commissioners empowered on each part, which articles were agreed to be inserted in and constitute the Treaty of Peace proposed to be concluded between the Crown of Great Britain and the said United States, but which treaty was not to be concluded until terms of peace should be agreed upon between Great Britain and France and his Britannic Majesty should be ready to conclude such treaty accordingly; and the treaty between Great Britain and France having since been concluded, his Britannic Majesty and the United States of America, in order to carry into full effect the Provisional Articles above mentioned, according to the tenor thereof, have constituted and appointed, that is to say his Britannic Majesty on his part, David Hartley, Esqr., member of the Parliament of Great Britain, and the said United States on their part, John Adams, Esqr., late a commissioner of the United States of America at the court of Versailles, late delegate in Congress from the state of Massachusetts, and chief justice of the said state, and minister plenipotentiary of the said United States to their high mightinesses the States General of the United Netherlands; Benjamin Franklin, Esqr., late delegate in Congress from the state of Pennsylvania, president of the convention of the said state, and minister plenipotentiary from the United States of America at the court of Versailles; John Jay, Esqr., late president of Congress and chief justice of the state of New York, and minister plenipotentiary from the said United States at the court of Madrid; to be plenipotentiaries for the concluding and signing the present definitive treaty; who after having reciprocally communicated their respective full powers have agreed upon and confirmed the following articles.

Article 1:

His Brittanic Majesty acknowledges the said United States, viz., New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, to be free sovereign and independent states, that he treats with them as such, and for himself, his heirs, and successors, relinquishes all claims to the government, propriety, and territorial rights of the same and every part thereof.

Article 2:

And that all disputes which might arise in future on the subject of the boundaries of the said United States may be prevented, it is hereby agreed and declared, that the following are and shall be their boundaries, viz.; from the northwest angle of Nova Scotia, viz., that angle which is formed by a line drawn due north from the source of St. Croix River to the highlands; along the said highlands which divide those rivers that empty themselves into the river St. Lawrence, from those which fall into the Atlantic Ocean, to the northwesternmost head of Connecticut River; thence down along the middle of that river to the forty-fifth degree of north latitude; from thence by a line due west on said latitude until it strikes the river Iroquois or Cataraquy; thence along the middle of said river into Lake Ontario; through the middle of said lake until it strikes the communication by water between that lake and Lake Erie; thence along the middle of said communication into Lake Erie, through the middle of said lake until it arrives at the water communication between that lake and Lake Huron; thence along the middle of said water communication into Lake Huron, thence through the middle of said lake to the water communication between that lake and Lake Superior; thence through Lake Superior northward of the Isles Royal and Phelipeaux to the Long Lake; thence through the middle of said Long Lake and the water communication between it and the Lake of the Woods, to the said Lake of the Woods; thence through the said lake to the most north-westernmost point thereof, and from thence on a due west course to the river Mississippi; thence by a line to be drawn along the middle of the said river Mississippi until it shall intersect the northernmost part of the thirty-first degree of north latitude. South, by a line to be drawn due east from the determination of the line last mentioned in the latitude of thirty-one degrees of the equator, to the middle of the river Apalachicola or Catahouche; thence along the middle thereof to its junction with the Flint River, thence straight to the head of Saint Mary’s River; and thence down along the middle of Saint Mary’s River to the Atlantic Ocean; east, by a line to be drawn along the middle of the river Saint Croix, from its mouth in the Bay of Fundy to its source, and from its source directly north to the aforesaid highlands which divide the rivers that fall into the Atlantic Ocean from those which fall into the river Saint Lawrence; comprehending all islands within twenty leagues of any part of the shores of the United States, and lying between lines to be drawn due east from the points where the aforesaid boundaries between Nova Scotia on the one part and East Florida on the other shall, respectively, touch the Bay of Fundy and the Atlantic Ocean, excepting such islands as now are or heretofore have been within the limits of the said province of Nova Scotia.

Article 3:

It is agreed that the people of the United States shall continue to enjoy unmolested the right to take fish of every kind on the Grand Bank and on all the other banks of Newfoundland, also in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence and at all other places in the sea, where the inhabitants of both countries used at any time heretofore to fish. And also that the inhabitants of the United States shall have liberty to take fish of every kind on such part of the coast of Newfoundland as British fishermen shall use, (but not to dry or cure the same on that island) and also on the coasts, bays and creeks of all other of his Brittanic Majesty’s dominions in America; and that the American fishermen shall have liberty to dry and cure fish in any of the unsettled bays, harbors, and creeks of Nova Scotia, Magdalen Islands, and Labrador, so long as the same shall remain unsettled, but so soon as the same or either of them shall be settled, it shall not be lawful for the said fishermen to dry or cure fish at such settlement without a previous agreement for that purpose with the inhabitants, proprietors, or possessors of the ground.

Article 4:

It is agreed that creditors on either side shall meet with no lawful impediment to the recovery of the full value in sterling money of all bona fide debts heretofore contracted.

Article 5:

It is agreed that Congress shall earnestly recommend it to the legislatures of the respective states to provide for the restitution of all estates, rights, and properties, which have been confiscated belonging to real British subjects; and also of the estates, rights, and properties of persons resident in districts in the possession on his Majesty’s arms and who have not borne arms against the said United States. And that persons of any other decription shall have free liberty to go to any part or parts of any of the thirteen United States and therein to remain twelve months unmolested in their endeavors to obtain the restitution of such of their estates, rights, and properties as may have been confiscated; and that Congress shall also earnestly recommend to the several states a reconsideration and revision of all acts or laws regarding the premises, so as to render the said laws or acts perfectly consistent not only with justice and equity but with that spirit of conciliation which on the return of the blessings of peace should universally prevail. And that Congress shall also earnestly recommend to the several states that the estates, rights, and properties, of such last mentioned persons shall be restored to them, they refunding to any persons who may be now in possession the bona fide price (where any has been given) which such persons may have paid on purchasing any of the said lands, rights, or properties since the confiscation.

And it is agreed that all persons who have any interest in confiscated lands, either by debts, marriage settlements, or otherwise, shall meet with no lawful impediment in the prosecution of their just rights.

Article 6:

That there shall be no future confiscations made nor any prosecutions commenced against any person or persons for, or by reason of, the part which he or they may have taken in the present war, and that no person shall on that account suffer any future loss or damage, either in his person, liberty, or property; and that those who may be in confinement on such charges at the time of the ratification of the treaty in America shall be immediately set at liberty, and the prosecutions so commenced be discontinued.

Article 7:

There shall be a firm and perpetual peace between his Brittanic Majesty and the said states, and between the subjects of the one and the citizens of the other, wherefore all hostilities both by sea and land shall from henceforth cease. All prisoners on both sides shall be set at liberty, and his Brittanic Majesty shall with all convenient speed, and without causing any destruction, or carrying away any Negroes or other property of the American inhabitants, withdraw all his armies, garrisons, and fleets from the said United States, and from every post, place, and harbor within the same; leaving in all fortifications, the American artilery that may be therein; and shall also order and cause all archives, records, deeds, and papers belonging to any of the said states, or their citizens, which in the course of the war may have fallen into the hands of his officers, to be forthwith restored and delivered to the proper states and persons to whom they belong.

Article 8:

The navigation of the river Mississippi, from its source to the ocean, shall forever remain free and open to the subjects of Great Britain and the citizens of the United States.

Article 9:

In case it should so happen that any place or territory belonging to Great Britain or to the United States should have been conquered by the arms of either from the other before the arrival of the said Provisional Articles in America, it is agreed that the same shall be restored without difficulty and without requiring any compensation.

Article 10:

The solemn ratifications of the present treaty expedited in good and due form shall be exchanged between the contracting parties in the space of six months or sooner, if possible, to be computed from the day of the signatures of the present treaty. In witness whereof we the undersigned, their ministers plenipotentiary, have in their name and in virtue of our full powers, signed with our hands the present definitive treaty and caused the seals of our arms to be affixed thereto.

Done at Paris, this third day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-three.

Meanwhile, Great Britain violated the treaty stipulation that it would relinquish control of forts in United States territory “with all convenient speed.” British troops remained stationed at six forts in the Great Lakes region and at two at the north end of Lake Champlain. The British also built an additional fort in present-day Ohio in 1794, during the Northwest Indian War. They justified their treaty violations during the unstable and extremely tense time that existed in the area following the Revolutionary War, and in the failure of the newly established US Federal government to fulfill commitments made to compensate loyalists for British losses, forcing the British to liquidate various assets in the region. All of the posts were relinquished peacefully through diplomatic means after negotiating the first commercial agreement with the British Empire known as a result of the  Jay Treaty signed in 1794. But sly games continued as the same ones sought to take the land from its original owners… which were the many Tribal Nations.

The War of 1812 was eminent…

Deep into the land grab games of deceit with the doctrine of discovery and doing as they will… the land grabs kept stirring up the Indian nations and the speaking with forked tongue ended up with lots of Indian unrest and defense of their land and homes. The continued vain talks and deceits to all parties involved, on top of the British burning the White House all led to the war of 1812. (Which was in progress years before the United States dared to officially declare it.) But something about burning down your White House just can’t be ignored.

The mindset we are conditioned with is that there was a huge time lapse between one war and the next and even that gets skewed because they leave out the concerns and tiny little thing that the land belonged to other nations when they plopped down their stakes and decided they discovered it.

Truth from sources such as those who write our history books is seldom accurate and most often more than slanted to tell a story that suits the mindset they are trying to form and or project. Dare we even say history they are trying to erase? Yes. The real Zeitgeist of the age is far different than the Zeitgeist of the age they tell us. Today, we are yet and still under that very same Zeitgeist and what we see today is now by evening told that it happened an entirely different way, or not at all.
