The new site will be production ready soon.
Due to the controversial nature of our community and opinions (blogs that tell truth) we are a higher target for bot attacks. Due to this, we were forced to go to the new site before it was ready. Since the current site was not fully production ready, we have had such attacks, and yesterday we had 1,300 bot attackers sign up for our site.
In the last day we also had 19,154 bots trying to get into our email server but they did not get in.
Which has been the cause for certain inconveniences such as yesterday’s bot attack that flooded our user data base that flooded our volume of fake registrations. Due to this volume, clean up may have caused issues with existing subscribers and posters. If you cannot sign in, please resign up.
Thankfully, our development team has quickly implemented anti-bot registration measures to protect the site.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are working our best to maneuver during these cyber attacks.

Also for anyone with a WordPress.com account they can select login and click the “use wordpress.com login” and use their wordpress.com login
So be aware of logging in… if you signed in with wordpress.com you must continue to. otherwise, make an account and select log in with username and id instead. you also only get 5 times to fail login in. After that, your IP is banned for a day. Its to help prevent automated attacks guessing passwords. This server is powerful enough that without setting limits an automated bot could easily attempt a million or more username password combos and hour.

The good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to a successful blog. I’m glad that Nik was able to remedy the problem. As for me, it doesn’t look like I had to resign up. Lucky me!

Despite the bots and the trolls, i am sure there are many of us who love what you write. Thanks for all you and your team do.
Cause some of tried to log in to lost accounts and failed too many times (3 times) in a row it banned you from signing. I lifted the bans for anyone who had issues and wants to make an account again they can go nake a new account.

Bots attack every site. Especially ones with an mx record aka email@domain.com what bot traffic the site gets is nothing compared to the 24/7 dictionary attacks on the mailtransport program running. Can be as high as 900,000 a day
