  1. Found a nest belonging to a mama yellow breasted finch in the house with three eggs. My dog Ginger knows how to push the back door open to get in, so the door is open part of the time. So I began opening the back door early each morning so she could go and come freely to take care of her young. They hatched and grew as I saw mama finch come in several times with a bug in her beak. I checked the nest several times and noticed how fast they grew. It took about three weeks from hatch to first flight. They left the nest and found their way out the door and had a good time flying around the sycamore tree. Mama finch perched on the service wire going to the house that was right above the back porch and began singing. It was as if she was thanking me for my help in raising her young. All I did was allow her time and open the door during daylight hours and close it at night. It was father’s day! Guess I was a pretty good papa bird. LOLGB+

    1. Precious story from a precious hearted, kind hearted man who takes care of the least among us… The world needs more Eze33s to make it a better place for all of us to coexist. Blessings to you, good man!!! ✝💞

    2. Eze33. “All I did was allow her time and open the door during daylight hours and close it at night…” Simple steps to you, but hard ones for many to have taken. Mama finch came to the right house. As Deborah said, precious hearted, kind hearted man taking care of the least and I will add…embracing it.

  2. Hope he wasn’t a Confederate. Cause next they will want to cancel Father’s Day

      1. Ah, the memories are the best@!!! I used to ask my Dad to show me his muscles – lol

          1. Of course, that was not his only strength!!!

Tough on the outside – warm and fuzzy on the inside – I miss him!!! <3

  3. Father’s Day… Untouched by the woke community. A long history.. God our Heavenly Father. Our founding fathers. Our earthly fathers. Our biological fathers and our dads who are like a father, step dads & others. Fathers who lead, champion, and believe in us. Fathers who have passed and fathers still with us. First time fathers. And fathers for many generations. May all meanings that the word father evokes always take us back to thinking of our heavenly father, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Thank you, Father! Amen!!
