In a press conference at the Valdai Discussion Club 2014 in answer to a question to a United States Journalist, President Vladimir Putin addressed his concerns regarding the US and their role in the middle east and ISIS. Although the film footage of the press conference has been banned, Live leaks released a copy of the press conference to the public. The words of Putin are transcribed below word for word from the video originally provided by Inessa S.
The press and mainstream news has been avoiding this information. It is a scathing , diplomatic account of Russia’s position on the politic behavior and actions in the middle east regarding Syria and ISIS, as well as a reprimand to our press who have failed to do their job.
Putin’s complete oration to the US Journalists:
First point. I never said that I view the US as a threat to our national security. President Obama, as you said, views Russia as a threat, but I don’t feel the same way about the US. What I do feel is that the politics of those in the circles of power, if I may use those terms, the politics of those in power is erroneous. It not only contradicts our national interests, it undermines any trust we had in the United States. And in that way it actually harms the United states as well.
Undermined trust, with the understanding that they are one of the global leaders in politics and in matters of the economy.
I can stay silent on many things, but as I always say, and Dominic here has mentioned it, “one sided actions” in the continuous search for the next “alliance” and coalitions which are predetermined – this is not a method that seeks to discus and agree on mutual grounds of understanding. These are one sided actions. They are carried out all the time. They lead to crises.
I’ve said this before, another threat that President Obama mentioned was ISIS. Well who on earth armed them? Who armed the Syrians that were fighting with Assad? Who created the necessary political information and climate that facilitated this situation?
Who pushed for the delivery of arms to the area? Do you really not understand who is fighting in Syria?
They are mercenaries mostly. Do you understand they are paid money? Mercenaries fight for which ever side pays more. So they arm them and pay them a certain amount. I even know what these amounts are. So they fight. They have the arms. You can’t get them to return the weapons of course, at the end.
Then they discover elsewhere pays a little more…so they go fight there. Then they occupy the oil fields.
Where ever in Iraq, Syria, they start extracting the oil and this oil is purchased by somebody. Where are the sanctions on the parties purchasing this oil?
Do you believe the US does not know who is buying it? Is it not their allies that are buying oil from Isis? Do you not think the US has the power to influence their allies? Or is the point that they indeed do not wish to influence them?
Then why bomb ISIS? In areas they started extracting oil and paying mercenaries more in theose areas the rebels from “civilized” Syrian opposition forces immediately join ISIS, because they pay more. I consider this absolutely unprofessional politics. It is not grounded on facts, in the real world.
We must support civilized, democratic opposition in Syria. So you support, arm them, and then tomorrow they join ISIS. Can they not think a step ahead? We don’t stand for this kind of politics of the US. We consider it to be wrong. It harms all parties, including you (USA).
When it comes to the consideration of our national interests I would really like it if people like you (US journalists) who posed the questions, would one day head your government. Maybe then we can somehow reverse the situation.
If that doesn’t happen, I will at least ask you to deliver my messages to your government. To the President of the United States, the Vice President, and all other relevant people. Tell them that we do not want or look for any confrontation whatsoever. When you start to consider our national interests in your actions, any other disagreements we may have they will self-regulate. This needs to be done, not just talked about. You must consider the interests of others, and you must respect other people.
You cannot “squeeze” others having considered only the benefits that you require from whatever… in economies, in your military activities, in everything. Look at Iraq the situation is terrible. Look at Libya and what you did there, that got your ambassador murdered.
Was it us that did this?
You even had a security council decision to establish a no fly zone. What for? It was so that Gaddafi’s air force couldn’t fly over and bomb the rebels. This wasn’t the smartest decision, but okay… what did you proceed to do yourselves? You started bombing the territory. This is in clear contravention of the security council resolution. It is even outright aggression over a state. Was it us that did this? You did this with your bare hands.
And it ended with the murder of your Ambassador. Who’s fault is it? It is your fault. Is it a good result that your Ambassador was murdered? It is actually a terrible catastrophe.
But do not look around for somebody to blame when it is you making these mistakes. You must do the opposite; rise above the endless desire to dominate. You must stop acting out of imperialistic ambitions. Do not poison the consciousness of millions of people like there can be no other way but imperialistic politics.
We will never forget our relationship when we supported the US in the war of independence (civil war). We will never forget that we collaborated in both world wars as allies. I personally believe that the geo strategic interests of Russia and the US are essentially the same. We must focus on this interrelationship.

Sad when you cannot trust the president of the United States and honestly i believe every word Putin is saying. Problem is no one has the backbone to have him impeached. Obama has said at the UN a day ago that he will not hesitate to use military force. What, to protect ISIS? He certainly hasn’t used military force effectively to hit ISIS. So he only uses it against those fighting ISIS, that’s the way it looks to me. I think it’s clear Obama really tried to do nothing more than “love taps” and “window dressing” against ISIS over the past several years that it has been steadily building its strength throughout the Middle East, and now, as Putin has said, it becomes more clear that Obama and our military did (perhaps) intentionally provide arms to ISIS by airdrops that “mistakenly” did not reach the Kurds, but rather landed in ISIS held territory. ISIS is jam packed with all sorts of armaments; When ISIS convoys can be seen in great detail from our military satellites, their white trucks with black and white flags being highly detectable, WE DO NOTHING. This has to be DELIBERATE. How disgusting of a conflict can this possibly be? Is it possibly just as disgusting as Putin and others have been claiming all along? Just as disgusting as the most paranoid critics of the Obama Administration have claimed? Is Obama as treasonous and as subverted by the Muslim Brotherhood as he appears to be? Is the president of Argentina correct in her claim that the (treasonous) Obama Administration tried to set up secret uranium refining by several Western nuclear powers, to provide enriched uranium to Iran?

If you look at history and the present Russia. Putin stands to and has, restored Mother Russia to its’ greatness. If it had not been for the Tsar of Mother Russia Alexander II, Lincoln would have lost the war for Great Britain and France along with the war tactics of Napoleon III were backing the southern states and had plans to separate all the states so Great Britain could reclaim the US. Germany was on board and we were about to have a bloody world war. Alexander II put a halt to this by marching his huge armies to the Russian borders prepared to take the Britain prizes of India, and other acquired nations all the way up to France. He also sent his Russian fleets to our ports to guard against the coming fleets of England which promptly turned around. Yes, Russia saved the US. After that both Lincoln and Alexander II were assassinated. Both have memorials honoring their heroic efforts to save their nations. Did I mention Alexander II freed over 20 million serfs that were slaves in Russia? Yes he proclaimed their freedom in 1860, two years before Lincoln proclaimed to free ours. After the toppling of the Romanoff Tsars who had governed mother Russia for over 300 years, the soviet union took its place. It was under the soviet rule that communism spread. Putin has restored mother Russia and rid it of communism. Putin is a man to be trusted. He is never to be underestimated for he will fight tooth and nail to keep mother Russia free from one world governance. Why won’t our president do the same for us?

This list that we’ve continuously been presented with seems entirely prefabricated/predetermined! It’s always the same anymore – we have a number of candidates selected FOR us! The options are always thus: one or more people who are ALREADY serving in the same, broken regime of criminals (and therefore likely to continue with status quo politics) Then we have one or more multi-millionaires/billionaires tossed in (who are very likely to continue the status quo in catering to the whims of large corporations, rather than the good of the common man) The only other option I continually see is of the ‘hand picked’ variety. THIS person (and Obama is DEFINITELY one of them as far as I’m concerned) always seems to have been ‘groomed’ from a realm of relative obscurity! THIS individual seems to be ‘chosen’ via the agents of some shadowy, underworld, reminiscent of an ‘above top secret’ Black Ops project or some slithering Kabbalah! Although from the US (where I live again, now), I did spend my all high school years during the ’70s (plus a few) years, living in Canada.
One thing I learned in history class was that, during the Bolshevik revolution, the United States sent in, uninvited, military assistance to help support the White Russians.
As I learned it in Canada, the White Russians balked at the interlopes, unsure of our true intentions, and they ended up taking sides, with the Reds, and against us.

I remember listening to a caller on one of the various radio talk shows about a year or so ago, and he claimed to have been from Syria. He wasn’t a Christian, but he SWORE up and down that we weren’t hearing the whole story regarding Assad. He posed the question, “Have you heard of any unusual numbers of Christians fleeing Syria?” NO! Because even though Assad is a Muslim (Shia) he posed no threat to Christians in his country.Not only that, but under Assad,it had been a long time, since Christians felt as safe as they did. Allegedly Assad has been the Christians’ best protector in a long time!
I used to buy into pretty much ANYTHING my government told me, during my years of political naivete. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that it took a marxist/fabian socialist quisling in the White House to snap me out of it.
When are we going to learn? Please understand I”ll NEVER knowingly disrespect a single action or motive of ANY of our fine men and women in our Armed Forces. (Hell I was one for a brief {non-combat} time), and to simplify, they are following orders.
But when you go back even as far as the Shah of Iran (Thanks a BUNCH jimmy carter) our “track record” for choosing sides of the islamic coin, in regards to who we overthrow is abysmal! We all know that the reason our Embassy in Tripoli was exchanged for some crappy outpost in Benghazi, was so we had an inconspicuous (project zero footprint) place to sell khadaffi’s rockets to …. isis!!
