WOE TO AMERICA, DOOMED THEY SAY, WE ARE ALL DOOMED. YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT OR BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAYS…

Since the inception of this nation, there have been those who desired to take it from the founders. The question is, do we allow those who have continued to clutch it and squeeze it so tightly that it is literally choking as we speak, to give it one last squeeze and take its last breath? Or do we stand up and say, no more? Many are just waking up and trying to figure out what is going on and why we have to have all this voter nonsense while at the same time they yell at others to six foot distance and adjust their mask. Some are saying, accept the election and get over it. Others are saying it’s all Trumps fault and pointing out what he should have done and didn’t. Others are praying and keeping their faith that God will bring us through this for all the signs of prophecy are coming into light. Others shout…bull we’re all doomed.

So what can be done by the little people with no fame, power, or great wealth against those who control the world? The answer is nothing and with God EVERYTHING.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” King James Version (KJV) So who was he talking to and what was this scripture about? What does that even have to do with America? What does that have to do with a stolen election, or congress? Biden? McConnell, Pelosi, Schumer or any of the crazy stuff taking place?  It has a lot to do with all of it.

Throughout the Bible,  God is clear about his blessings and curses to a nation called by his name. If the people turn away from his commands there are consequences.  God calls his people to repentance and to turn away from idols of the world. He is patient and merciful and allows time for those he loves to return and follow his commands. If not, then he removes his blessings and you are on your own against the wickedness you have welcomed into your halls that govern you and your places of pleasure that are more important to the nation than he is to it. We watched as the Super Bowl half time became a rendition of Ode to Lucifer and players took a knee to denounce God. We watched as little by little laws were approved to make what was wrong in the eyes of God, right for America and what was right in the eyes of God wrong for America.  Everything took place as those called by his name wandered further and further away and wondered why someone wasn’t doing something about the mess as they went about their own business.

Now that America is in a real division of nightmare proportions, a lot of  good people are pointing fingers and blaming this one and that.  Finding fault in everything that doesn’t happen as fast as getting take out at a diner. All the while God is showing all the signs and signals to come out of her my people.

So, how does one come out of her when the whole world is shaking? The answer is so simple and many do not believe. It is three simple words from God. “Return to me”.

Let us look at Jeremiah who warned Israel to turn from idols and back to God. Jerusalem on the other hand, ignored Jeremiah and was taken away to Babylon. We, as a nation called by God’s name, as a people have been warned to come out from the evil. Many are watching, waiting, and figuring out how to stay afloat with their personal interests and finances, stocks, etc. waiting to see what happens. Many are blaming whoever they can, some are delighted to see (what they believe is) the fall of Trump and delighted deplorables are targeted by the evil ones in government. Some are repenting and taking a stand for the Lord. Some are getting out there and forming grass roots campaigns to take back the house and senate. The division is all over the place at this time, yet, there is a remnant emerging that is repenting, and asking God for direction as what they are to do to take a stand. God is showing people what to do…one by one. I see a reclaiming taking place. Where many are reclaiming the movie industry, the television programming, the news, social media platforms, the church, the constitution, where they buy things from. I see it beginning and it will grow.

Yet there are some that shout, we aren’t Jerusalem. We are America, etc., etc.. To them I will bring up the book of Jonah. When Jonah was sent into Niniveh, which was a gentile city that Jonah thought was so wicked , it deserved to be wiped off the face of the earth.

Remember in the book of Jonah, he was sent to Nineveh to warn the people there to turn from their wickedness of worshiping false fish gods and being lawless and wicked. This was not a city called by God’s name…but it was a city that God wanted to deal with in his mercy and in God’s plan this would end a lot of trouble for other nations. I’ll fast track this story:  Jonah was not happy to go into a gentile nation and preach to repent. He wanted these wicked ones gone. So, Jonah tried to run from God’s call to go into Nineveh and warn the people because he thought it was a waste of time. They were that wicked and lawless and deserved to be destroyed, was his mindset.

He was swallowed up in the belly of a whale, for three days and three nights then he decided to obey God, and then the whale  spewed out Jonah on the shores of Nineveh.  He went into the city and told them to repent, etc.,  then went outside the city, convinced in his own mind they would never repent and sat on a hill in the sun to watch God destroy them all. He was betting he knew what was going to happen more than God did. (Sound familiar?) It got hotter and hotter on the hill, so God provided Jonah a plant for shade, for it was taking a long time and the fireworks hadn’t started yet. (God does have a sense of humor with his people).

But when dawn came up the next day, God appointed a worm to attack the plant, so it withered. When the sun rose, God appointed a scorching wind, and the sun beat down on Jonah so that he was faint and he told God, “It is better for me to die than to live.”  But God said to Jonah, “Do you do well to be angry for the plant?” Jonah answered, “Yes, I do well to be angry, angry enough to die.” And the Lord said, “You pity the plant, for which you did not labor, nor did you make it grow, which came into being in a night and perished in a night.  And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know their right hand from their left, and also much cattle?”

This is where we are. Now, let’s ask God what he wants us to do. Smile.
