Now we hear AI ‘godfather’ Geoffrey Hinton quits Google and not only that, he now after all these years… regrets his work.
He told the BBC some of the dangers of AI chatbots were “quite scary”. “Right now, they’re not more intelligent than us, as far as I can tell. But I think they soon may be.” See BBC

UNICORN VALLEY STANFORD STUDY FINDS Over 1 in 3 researchers fear ‘nuclear-level AI catastrophe’!
Data presented by Atlas VPN shows that more than a third of credible AI experts believe that AI will cause a nuclear-level catastrophe within this century. These findings are part of Stanford’s 2023 Artificial Intelligence Index Report, released in April 2023.
It appears a team of American researchers polled the natural language processing (NLP) community on a range of topics, and one of those were Artificial Intelligence and ethics fields. Apparently they are concerned with providing computers the capacity to comprehend (or think), written and spoken words like a human. Ya think?
