President Trump has called for the immediate termination of Big Tech’s Section 230 liability protections for reasons of “national security.”
President Trump Tweeted today, “Twitter is sending out totally false “Trends” that have absolutely nothing to do with what is really trending in the world. They make it up, and only negative “stuff”. Same thing will happen to Twitter as is happening to @FoxNews daytime. Also, big Conservative discrimination!”
This means the days of Big Tech companies claiming they act as a neutral platform, allowing them certain protections from what people post on their site under Section 230 is gone. They are now liable for their actions. There “liability shield” is gone. Because they have engaged in the censorship of conservatives, they act more like a publisher, who is more liable for what is on their site. Therefore, the days of twitter and other social network platforms controlling what people can and cannot say will leave them open to law suits and they can shove their algorithms up their bot!
Technically what Big Tech has done with their one sided social censoring is commit election interference. The time to yank their little power cord has come and President Trump is YANKING IT OUT OF THE SOCKET!!!
Now the question is, can we sue the publishers when they take our intellectual property and do not return it as in the case of all of our property stored in the archives of Face Book and Twitter, etc. ? And how far back can we go in the law suits? Also we need to ask if having our character assassinated, and or job losses can constitute a law suit? I’m sure the people will have lots of questions and scenarios to cover so get busy thinking of any and all damage you have or may have in the future. Smile!
