Truth, Myth, and The Missing Years of The First Followers of The Way…
“49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. 50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Throughout the ages, kings and men seeking power have sought to find and possess the spear that pierced the side of Christ. Why? According to legend, he who holds the spear will hold the power to control the world for either good or evil purposes.
In my quest to find why men believed this spear held a power so great, it became clear that there was no actual documentation leading up to the historic hunt that continues to this very day. Given to reason one must acknowledge that some chain of events must have taken place at the time of the centurion who originally possessed it in order for kings and Roman Caesars to covet it so.
Therefore the question- What took place at the time of Longinus the centurion to give the spear its magical illusion?
I set out to find this answer and it led to writing a book that would unveil some of the real events of that hidden timeline of what happened to the followers of Christ that were never spoken of again beyond the four gospels? What was it that those in power have tried so hard to hide from all who read the Bible? What are they hiding from this last generation cloaked in lukewarm complacency?
This book was written as a biblically themed, fictional concept of what may have taken place to bring such fame to a simple Roman hasta, but more importantly what it was like to be one of the first followers of the way who took a stand for Jesus and his teachings. It was written to awaken people’s hearts to see how blessed we have been to have the word of God and yet, have no idea of the great persecution and tribulation the first followers went through so we could read it.
In research for the book, it became evident that the real attack was on the Kingdom of God by the devil himself. A great spiritual warfare. The fact seems to be that it is not the spear itself, but the blood upon the spear that has the power to overcome all darkness and set up a kingdom that can never be destroyed and those at the time all knew it. Perhaps the very mystery of the Lord’s own words and his promise to return to do this very thing is what started the quest to find the spear? We may never know.
This story provides a look into the man who originally held the spear and what struggles he might have faced. It also portrays what might have happened in the lives of Mary Magdalene and other disciples at the time. It is a bold look into the very first ones who sought the power of the spear and how the reputation surrounding its mystery may have actually started. The missing years are both intriguing and mysterious, leaving one’s imagination to fill in the blanks.
When I began writing, it became evident that there were lessons to be learned in the quest for the spear of destiny.
One: the battle between good versus evil is one that continues to this day and is as ancient as mankind. Two: the true power lies within the blood and not an artifact. Three: the power of the blood is truly as alive and well today as it was the day it was first spilled on the cross.

A truth that leads him to understand principalities and powers, free will, and how to serve a master other than Rome.
