The Taliban have banned the cultivation of opium and the export of drugs. It is against their religion and they believe the evil Shaitans (Satans) enter into the body in the form of Jinns when a person is high on drugs. Drugs are a gateway to evil spirits entering the body and possessing the person.
So, that being said they have taken over the region again and Opium harvesting is not allowed.
The Taliban supreme leader Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada has outlawed the cultivation of poppy, the source of sap that is refined into morphine and heroin, in a decree, fulfilling its promise to ban the narcotic, made after seizing power last year. Afghanistan is estimated to have accounted for 90% of global opium trade in 2021.
“If anyone violates the decree, the crop will be destroyed immediately and the violator will be treated according to the Sharia law,” Taliban deputy spokesman Inamullah Samangani tweeted. In addition, the governing militant group has also banned the consumption, transportation, sale, export and import of all kinds of drugs and alcohol.
So how’s that for drug control?
This is the reason the deep state was in an uproar when the Taliban rose to power again. They thought they were handing over weapons and tanks to their own paid mercenaries with different intentions. Their rage was not out of an alleged interest in the issue of human rights, the real reason is that with the loss of Afghanistan, high finance and drug traffickers have lost a strategic country for international drug trafficking. And these same powers are furious at the loss of Ukraine because they have lost another strategic country, but in this case, they are losing their human and child, and sex slave trafficking of human beings and their infamous Bio-labs, not to mention their private money laundering piggy bank.
It makes one wonder what the Taliban was really supposed to do? Perhaps guard the Russian Border or cross over? Or what? There was something in their plans.
These lawless globalists have lost and are losing all the key countries that were used to perpetrate the dirtiest and most shady trades on the planet. Their new world disorder globalism is losing its power day by day.
So, like everything else in this war, the price has gone up for Opium!
Since the Taliban overran Kabul on August 15, 2021, the price for opium — which is transformed into heroin either in Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iran before flooding the European market — has more than tripled.
Masoom said smugglers are now paying him $100 per kg. In Europe, it has a street value of over $50 a gramme.
As he sat beneath a canvas suspended from four stakes to protect the precious wares from the burning sun, he said the price prior to the Taliban takeover stood at just a third of what he can make today. Speaking to AFP on his field a few kilometres away, poppy farmer Zekria confirms that prices have skyrocketed.
