RED SEA MOMENT – WHERE ARE THE NACHSHONS?

According to the Midrash, which is a biblical text of clarification by ancient Judaic authorities, prominent in the Talmud. The word itself means “textual interpretation”, “study”. And to understand it, the Talmud is the body of Jewish civil and ceremonial law and legend comprising the Mishnah and the Gemara. There are two versions of the Talmud: the Babylonian Talmud (which dates from the 5th century ad but includes earlier material) and the earlier Palestinian or Jerusalem Talmud.

So if we look at the ancient teachings of the Book we have been given to guide us that we call the Holy Bible, to understand full context of the scriptures, does it not serve us to learn of the original account of what was taught and written? I felt so. Where we are not bound to Jewish laws or customs, we have been grafted into the tree of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and in that we receive the Messiah our Savior.

“The Midrash tells us that, seeing the approaching Egyptian army, the Jewish people were divided into four camps. There were those who said, “Let us throw ourselves into the sea.” A second group said, “Let us return to Egypt.” A third faction argued, “Let us wage war upon the Egyptians.” Finally, a fourth camp advocated, “Let us pray to God.”

Which camp are you in? What is in your thoughts to do? What did Moses decide to do with hearing all the demands and opinions of the Hebrew who were many? Let’s see what the Midrash says Moses did…

Moses, however, rejected all four options, saying to the people, “Fear not; stand by and see the salvation of God which He will show you today. For as you have seen Egypt this day, you shall not see them again, forever. God shall fight for you, and you shall be silent.”2

The article states that – God then told Moses:

Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel and let them travel. And you raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and split it, and the children of Israel shall come in the midst of the sea on dry land … And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I will be glorified through Pharaoh, through his chariots, and through his horsemen.3

At this point, a pillar of cloud (and the angel Michael), which generally led the people through the desert, wrapped itself around them from behind, protecting them from Egyptian arrows and projectiles. At the same time, the pillar of fire illuminated the night for the people of Israel.

Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and God battered the sea with the strong east wind all night, and He made the sea into dry land. According to the Midrash, at the same moment that the Red Sea parted, all the other water in the world split as well.

“Then the Israelites walked right into the sea on dry land, and the solidified water towered over them on either side.

“Seeing their prey in the middle of the sea, the Egyptians and their horses rushed in behind them, still in hot pursuit. As morning approached, God turned His attention toward the Egyptians, using the cloud and fire to confuse them and emanate a painful heat. As the wheels came off their chariots, and the horses struggled in the boiling muck, the Egyptians were cast into complete turmoil.

So you see…it took til morning for God’s people to cross through the sea. It was not a matter of an hour or few minutes and our Bible tells us that Moses arms tired and others came to support his arms …this indicates not only faith but physical support of the one God is leading. There are times all leaders in the flesh no matter how inspired, need the support of the ones they are leading out of bondage. God always sends someone to help those who are tiring in the flesh but strong in the spirit. Amen.

The Word For The Day — Moses said, “Do not fear! Stand still and see the...

The people doubted Moses. As it indicates in the four different opinions of those following him. None were looking to Moses as sent to lead them. The article tells us that it states in the Midrash that after the people made it to the other side, Moses followed God’s command, and stretched his hand out over the sea, and it returned to its normal state. In the confusion that followed, Egyptians fled toward the sea, and God stirred them into its churning depths.

Then, according to the Midrash, the sea spit the Egyptians’ remains onto the seashore so that the Israelites wouldn’t think that the Egyptians survived by walking through the sea in another miraculously dry passage. And it was in seeing the Egyptian bodies that the people “believed in God and Moses His servant.”

The two witnesses shall become one stick. Jacob and Joseph. Jacob representing the sons of Abraham in Israel, and Joseph whose sons, Mannessah and Ephraim, were of the gentiles and inherited Israel. Ephraim was to be blessed to lead many nations, and Mannessah the oldest was to have one great nation. As foretold, this would be the time of the gentiles.

These are the true two witnesses. It is not a mystery, it is written in Ezekiel and Zechariah, and spoken of in Revelation.

Why and when was this? When the Jews turned away from accepting their Messiah, the Lord gave his word to be carried to the gentiles for the time of the gentiles to be fulfilled. He told the High Priests, Pharisees and Sadducees that the Kingdom would be taken from them and they would be left desolate. Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate
.”

Acts 13:46 46Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

So, today we are not all Israel who are of Israel. And because we are at the end of the age and have had close to 2,000 years of spiritual warfare holding onto the word of God against the gates of hell who have sought to destroy all of God’s people. Look back at real history starting with the crucifixion and work your way up to this very day. There has always been an attack on Christ followers and the Jews.

Few remember, let alone acknowledge that 11 million people were killed in the Holocaust. Five million of those were Christians and other groups not liked by Hitler. Six million of them were Jews. Holocaust Victims: Five Million Forgotten – Non Jewish Victims of the Shoah (remember.org) But that is not talked about. If we have such lack of understanding of a war fought in the last generation, imagine our lack of understanding of Jewish customs and interpretations of the Books. In this, we error in strong drink and are easily led by false shepherds.

The Mystery in the Meaning of Midrash

So how did we get to this point? We have errored in judgement based on false interpretations, fake news, corrupt educational system, and political correctness that is now on steroids, in our face and we are smack in the middle of the devils playbook once again. My people perish for lack of knowledge rings out like a shofar on this very day.

In the article on the account of Moses in the Midrash, we have a very informative piece that rings loudly for us during this time of wickedness. It tells of a man who started the crossing for the people did not want to go into the path of the sea.

Nachshon: The Trailblazer

How did the splitting of the sea happen? According to the Midrash, it all came down to one man named Nachson, the prince of the tribe of Judah. The sages share the following account:

When Israel stood facing the Red Sea, and the command was given to move forward, each of the tribes hesitated, saying, “We do not want to be the first to jump into the sea.”

Nachshon saw what was happening—and jumped into the sea.

At that moment Moses was standing and praying. God said to him, “My beloved ones are drowning in the stormy seas, and you are standing and praying?”

Moses replied, “Master of the world, what am I to do?”

Said God, “Lift your staff and spread your hand over the seas, which will split, and Israel will come into the sea upon dry land.”

And so it was. Following Nachshon’s lead, the Israelites entered the sea and were saved.

These trying times call for a Nachshon….we are watching a few of them now…and others are following. Our Nachshon’s are Lin Wood, Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell, General Flynn, there are more…but it took one to stand up first in spite of all the quarrell and that Naschon went and I’m sure when he jumped he did so in a leap of faith!

So did Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, General Flynn, Mike Lindell and all who jumped into the sea to start the crossing to the other side! Trump is holding up his end…it is up to us to cross the sea he cannot cross over for us. God has opened up the way…we must go through it to the other side!

Stay Strong!
