The importance of Zecharias, the High Priest by the Levitical Order of Aaron, and why he was chosen to father John the Baptist becomes more important when we know the backstory on the appointment and the blessing bestowed upon the Holy birth of John. Zecharias was the last of the Levitical line of Priests and he was old in his age and his wife Elizabeth was barren. In his days Rome had overtaken Jerusalem and governed over them. Caesar had appointed their King Herod, who was not in line to be their King. But Herod was in League to do the bidding of Rome. Politics of the day were corrupt and the priesthood had become more of a political appointment.
Zecharias, in knowing he was the last of the heirs of the High Priesthood, looked toward the prophecies of a Messiah to come with a new covenant, for he saw the signs of the times for Messiah to appear were at hand. He had no idea he was to father a son to carry on the priesthood. Nor did he know his son would anoint (as heir to the high priesthood) the priest by the order of Melchelzedec , Jesus the Messiah, and baptize him with the water (symbolic of the washing and submerging of the High Priest in Levitical tradition). In fact when the angel Gabriel appeared to him, he did not believe the message and was struck mute for it.
This blog is long, but it reveals the truth and cannot be shortened under the current political cloud of the day. This information is based on scripture taken in full context and the truth of the symbolism of the Levitical cleansings as a shadow of things to come and our baptism as set forth by the Messiah was our outward acceptance of the priesthood given to us. Not just merely a washing away of sins. An anointing of our new mission as future priests with the Lord. When you understand the truth in the message, your view of the blessings of Baptism and its purpose will never be the same. It will be a joy in your heart and a burden in your flesh to do and to serve our Lord the High Priest of the Heavenly Order of Melchelzedec. At least when the Lord revealed it to me…it was in mine. (For those who have a hard time reading…I placed a summary at the bottom that explains the message.)
Baptism….in the name of Jesus Our Lord according to man’s definitions:
There are many ideas on what Baptism is. From the Greek noun (βάπτισμα báptisma) which is defined as a Christian rite of admission and adoption, almost invariably with the use of water, into Christianity. It may be performed by sprinkling or pouring water on the head, or by immersing in water either partially or completely. The synoptic gospels recount that John the Baptist baptised Jesus. Baptism is considered a sacrament in most churches, and as an ordinance in others. Baptism according to the Trinitarian formula, which is done in most mainstream Christian denominations, is seen as being a basis for Christian ecumenism, the concept of unity amongst Christians. Baptism is also called christening, although some reserve the word “christening” for the baptism of infants. It has also given its name to the Baptist churches and denominations.
Martyrdom was identified early in Church history as “baptism by blood”, enabling the salvation of martyrs who had not been baptized by water. Later, the Catholic Church identified a baptism of desire, by which those preparing for baptism who die before actually receiving the sacrament are considered saved. Some Christian thinking regards baptism as necessary for salvation, but some writers, such as Huldrych Zwingli (1484–1531), have denied its necessity.
Quakers and the Salvation Army do not practice water baptism at all. Among denominations that practice water baptism, differences occur in the manner and mode of baptizing and in the understanding of the significance of the rite. Most Christians baptize using the trinitarian formula “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (following the Great Commission), but some baptize using Jesus’ name only. Much more than half of all Christians baptize infants; many others regard only adult baptism as true baptism.
The term “baptism” has also been used metaphorically to refer to any ceremony, trial, or experience by which a person is initiated, purified, or given a name.
There may be more definitions of baptism, but those are the main considerations of most denominations who instruct on the matter of baptism.
SO WHICH ONE IS CORRECT? LET US SEE WHAT THE SCRIPTURES TELL US.
Who is John the Baptist?
To understand the origin of baptism for those who follow being baptized as Jesus was and the work of John the Baptist, we will go into what John’s mission was and why John was sent to Zacharias and Elizabeth to be born. It was Gabriel, the angel, that came to announce to Zacharias that he was chosen to have a child born to him in his old age, the same angel that appeared to Mary to tell her she was chosen to birth the Messiah. Now this was all to fulfill the prophecies written for man, and foretold by the prophets of the coming Messiah.
The signs and the lineage were of utmost importance. The scriptures that foretell the coming of the Messiah are many, but in this subject of Baptism, I will keep to the scriptures of what was foretold concerning this.
First of all the customs of “washing” with a total water submergence, were not unique to Christianity. They were a custom of the Levitical Priesthood.
Only the tribe of Levi, of the family of Aaron, could officiate at the Tabernacle; therefore, the Lord commanded that Moses first consecrate them for this sacred service here at the laver. In Exodus 40:12-13, it reads, “And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water. And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.” This consecration of the priests included three symbolic acts: washing, clothing, and anointing. These acts took place to authenticate that the priests were authorized to act on behalf of the people of Israel.
God instructed Moses how to build the tabernacle and all the instruments, one of them was the laver for the washing. It was to be made of bronze and placed within the outer courtyard of the Tabernacle. It was here at the laver that Aaron and his sons were washed, clothed, and anointed prior to becoming a priest. The laver was also used by the priests for daily ritual washing prior to serving at the Tabernacle.
Exodus 30:17-21. 17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the Lord:
21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
Now this was told to Moses when he was in the mountains speaking with God. The same time he was given the ten commandments and at the same absence of 40 days when the people grew impatient and began to make the golden calf as in the manner of Egypt.
For God has purposed that Aaron and his sons would be of the priesthood beforehand. Why else would he say what he did to Moses when in the mountains?
Exodus 33: 9-14
9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.
10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
Exodus 34:10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. (read entire chapter in context what the Lord God shall do.)
In Exodus Chapter 35 it tells how they, from all the tribes, worked together with what talents they had and brought their offerings to bestow and build the tabernacle. Each had different gifts and the wise used them for God’s purpose in building, and they all worked together.
In Exodus Chapter 36 it shows the people had brought more than enough to complete the tabernacle and the offering, so much more than needed that Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.

In Exodus Chapter 40: 9-16 9. And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
10. And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.
11. And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.
12. And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
13. And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
14. And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:
15. And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
16. Thus did Moses: according to all that the Lord commanded him, so did he.
And the Lord would speak to Moses from within the Tabernacle. The same as later he would speak to the High Priest from within the Temple in the Holy of Holies and today…we are the temple and the Lord speaks to all who receive him through the Holy Spirit. For this is our new covenant as it was presented by our Lord Jesus and further proclaimed in the book of Hebrews explaining the Temple and Levitical Priesthood was a shadow of things to come and our Lord and Savior Jesus is the High Priest by the heavenly order of Melchelzedec .
Hebrews 8: 10-13 A NEW COVENANT
10. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
And John The Baptist said in John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Why did John the Baptist say this? Because John the Baptist was the last of the Levitical Priesthood of the lineage of Aaron. And he had just anointed the Messiah as High Priest of the order of Melchelzedec! In the new covenant that was foretold to come.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 8:1-13
1. Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
2. A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3. For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4. For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5. Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (This is the Kingdom of God that is coming)

Jeremiah 31:34
31. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Isaiah 24
14. LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
15. Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.
16. From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
17. Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18. And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
19. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23. Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
We are in the process of the old decaying and waxing old for the new has already come to us and soon the Kingdom of God will manifest to the point that all will say THUS SAITH THE LORD as it was prophesied. And this is achieved when Babylon Falls. And in Revelations 19 the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and the Lord comes with all the armies of heaven to render justice that leads us all to Chapter 20 where the Lord reigns with the Righteous and all know him…thus saith the Lord.
Isaiah Chapter 28 explains what shall happen in those days, regarding the day of the Lord. Read the whole chapter.
Isaiah 28:6-19 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7. But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8. For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9. Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11. For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. (Is this a testing? A sneaking in of dispensationalism? God’s people will be able to divide and seek without deception, here a little there a little and not skew it. For his precept must be upon precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line, here a little there a little! It has been stammering lips and another tongue that has confused the people. )
14. Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (What is this he is speaking of? Who is not going to have to go through the scourge? Who will not go through this? Who is saying such things?)
16. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. (What refuge of lies are these?)
16. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. (Jesus is the corner stone.)
17. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (So lies will be exposed and the covenant of with death disannulled and the agreement with hell shall not stand? Is this to the modern day Baal worshippers and their false doctrines? The falsehoods that have infiltrated the churches?)
19. From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
Revelation Chapter 20
1. And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
So the new covenant is the Holy Spirit residing in us. For we are the temple and the new covenant for it states all things in Hebrews Chapter 9.
Hebrews Chapter 9: 1-17
1.Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
2. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
3. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4. Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
5. And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
6. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
7. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
8. The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
9. Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
10. Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
11. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15. And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20. Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25. Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
So how do we prepare for this New Covenant? In Hebrews Chapter 10 he says in verse 22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” The Baptism.
15. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16. This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21. And having an high priest over the house of God;
22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
In Hebrews Chapter 11, it explains that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It goes into 40 verses of how from the beginning of the old Covenant by faith the various key points in the Old Testament where the people from Enoch, Noah, Abraham, down to Sampson, King David and the last of the prophets (which in lineage of the Levitical Priesthood would be John the Baptist) obeyed the laws of the Old Covenant in looking forward to the promises of the Messiah and a new covenant and a High Priest by the Order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 5: 5. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee. When he was baptized by John the Baptist, who was by birthright, set as the High Priest of the Levitical Order of the Old Testament. But through the politics of the day another was appointed for John cried in the Wilderness as prophesied to prepare ye the way of the Lord. The High Priest Forever by the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 5:6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 5:1-14
1. For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2. Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
3. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
4. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
5. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
6. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
7. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8. Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10. Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
And we are to be forerunners with Christ our High Priest of the Order of Melchisedec! For through our baptism and receiving of our Lord and Savior, He has now entered within us, even Jesus, our high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Who has promised us to be made priests and kings in his Kingdom.
Therefore, what should we be mindful of through our washing in our Baptism? What shall we be mindful now this day, in knowing that he who is in us is greater than he who is in the world? For he has conquered the World and to fulfill prophecy, He left the right hand of God to come to us in the flesh so we might see him and know the love of the Father that we might receive him into our flesh and never be alone as we are in the world, but not of the world. Amen. We are to be made priests forever with our Lord the High Priest of the order of Melchisedec!
Therefore praise and rejoice our High Priest and King of Kings, Jesus our Messiah of the Heavenly priesthood by the order of Melchisedec!
Hebrews Chapter 6
1.Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2. Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3. And this will we do, if God permit.
4. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8. But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
9. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14. Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
SUMMARY:
The importance of who Zecharias, the High Priest by the Levitical Order of Aaron, and why he was chosen to father John the Baptist becomes more important when we see the blessings that John was to annoint (as heir to the high priesthood) the priest by the order of Melchelzedec , Jesus the Messiah, and baptize him with the water (symbolic of the washing and submerging of the High Priest in Levitical tradition). The true symbolism of the Levitical cleansings was a shadow of things to come and our baptism as set forth by the Messiah was our outward acceptance of the future priesthood given to us. We were born again into the priestly line(see Hebrews). Not just merely a washing away of sins. It was also an anointing of our new mission as future priests with the Lord. For in receiving the Lord we became a Holy Vessel for the Lord to reside within us. Knowing that is a game changer for how we live our lives and treat our bodies. It also creates new awareness as to why the Cabal wants to keep us dumbed down and depopulate us, confuse us, and keep us feeling unworthy, incapable, and lost. Keep us in a constant state of fear.
When Aaron was ordained to be the Priest, the ordination service included the “washing” of Aaron, and his sons. The particular Hebrew word for wash that is used in the ordination of the Priest is not a word for rinse, or for sprinkling, or for pouring, but it’s a word that means to get all the way into the water. In Judaism, the Mikva served as the baptistery. A Jew would go into the Mikva and be completely submerged into the water. When the law says that the Priest was to be washed when he was ordained, it is referring to a Mikva experience; that is, a baptism by immersion. And when Jesus was ready to begin his ministry, he said, “Let it be, this is for righteousness sake.” John, the last of the High Priest, according to the order of Aaron, baptized Jesus, the High Priest according to the order of Melchisadek! In other words, John was transferring the authority over to the new order of Priesthood; the old order of Aaron was passing away, and now transferred to Jesus, who is our High Priest Forever, according to the Priestly order of Melchizedek. (And why John said, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30
John was chosen to prepare the way of the Lord, because he was the last of the bloodline of the Aaronic Priesthood and was legitimately passing authority to the new Priesthood, of the order of Melchelzedec to be forever held in Jesus Christ!
If we truly take on our baptism to be born again into the priesthood of our Messiah Jesus, it is a humbling to understand that we are to reign with him as priests and kings and our baptizing is a cleansing that enters us into the priesthood of the order of Melchizedek!
So when Jesus said you must be born again, it was confusing to the Pharisees, they understood not that those who believe are born again into the order of Melchizedek. The priestly line of the Messiah Jesus our savior. Let us take on that anointing as he gave it and in time, we shall reign with our Lord as Priests and Kings as he promised.
