And The Groundhog Says…

Ground Hog Day kinda came and went for most people as we were wondering what our lives were going to be like today and weren’t looking closely at tomorrow, let alone the next six weeks.

So, for those who aren’t aware of Groundhog Day, it’s a tradition celebrated in North America and the story goes that on February 2nd, if the groundhog sees its shadow, it will return to its burrow. That is alleged to mean a weather forecast of six more weeks of winter. And if it’s cloudy and he doesn’t see his shadow, he stays out and that is supposed to mean it’s an early spring.

However, in these days of weather manipulation and monster storms etc., the ground hog is now known to be confused and to him it doesn’t matter if he sees his shadow or not… he now listens to the earth rumble. If it is vibrating, he stays burrowed. I’ve heard that in some places they don’t see him all year long. Just because he feels safer there.

This year, the groundhog saw his shadow…which means 6 more weeks of winter.

NOTE: Groundhogs are not subject to mandates, they just love staying at home. Smile.
